I wonder if Starscream is going to try to forge an alliance with Airachnid, like he did with Breakdown. She is stranded on Earth, sooner or later she will have to meet/rejoin the rest of the 'Cons if she want's to get out. Plotting revenge against Arcee and Jack can't be her only agenda.

She ain't no Insecticon, she just got Insecticon colors, that's all, I think dude just got confused because TFWIKI says "she wears Insecticon colors"

You know, purple, silver, yellow and black, but really that doesn't mean she IS an Insecticon.

Also, spiders don't have compound eyes, but they also don't transform into giant alien robots nor spit acid, so I don't see the problem with the design cue. IN FACT, I think all Insecticons from now and on should have compound eyes, except maybe Kickback cuz I like his visor.

 

She's painted in the same general colors as the G1 Insecticon figures but it could just be an homage to them.

 

  That would explain a lot.

 

Not really confused, just my reaction from when I got a good look at her color scheme. And yes she is never refereed to as an Insecticon, but her motives, colors, actions and design its hard to think of her as anything else.

Motives? I don't recall her wanting to eat any crops. Actions? Again, not very Insectcon like. Design? No.

Heh, agreed. Spiders are arachnids. She should team up with Black Arachnia and Tarantulas and be called the Arachnicons, rival of the insecticons.

 

It's a mistake that people still do to this day, that or they don't care to differentiate. Kinda like how people still think space is cold.

Insecticons are a Subgroup of amoral sadists with a tentative relationship with the Decepticons, Airachnid is an amoral sadist with a tentative relationship with the Decepticons.

Eat crops? Nah she is much to classy for that, chances are she's been raiding trucks carrying Honey bunches of oats.

What I think I'm trying to say is that shes one hell of an homage, to the point that she might as well be the introduction of the sub-group/faction/concept to Prime.

 

I was under the impression she was more an introduction for the predacons.
