It will be a shame if Transformers 3 does not perform well in 3D, considering the effort that Bay put in to make a true and worthwhile 3D experience, just because the rest of hollywood was looking for a quick buck and released nothing but crappy conversions and lousy and cash-ins

When saw the 3D trailer yesterday before Green Lantern it blew away anything I've seen so far, it was twice as clear as anything in GL.

While I didn't see the 3D trailer for GL, I did see it before the new Pirates movie, and I completely agree with millerman here. It was the best 3D I've ever seen. It will be a shame if the 3D version busts.. I'll still buy it when it hits 3D bluray though :thumb .

That sounds awesome. I want to see this in 3D, but I don't know how I'd wear the 3D glasses over my own, and I've heard they can be headache inducing (which I'm very prone to as it is). So, has anyone tried out the BB or OP masks? Do they fit over glasses well? Any less headache inducing?

DOTM is literally the industry's last shot at getting me to give a shit about 3D. I haven't seen a single film in 3D this year and unless DOTM's 3D blows me away I probably never will again.

The stuff they showed at Botcon was the best 3-D I've seen. Better than Avatar IMO. It had a purpose to what you were watching, and looked great too. It was a sizzle reel, so have to see what 2.5 hours of it is like, but I'm betting it'll be hot.

I also wear glass and I've never had any problems with headaches but if you are prone to have them it might be a problem, the only problem I've had with 3D is glare or smudging on the lenses so I always carry some lens wipes when I go see 3D movies.

The area I live in sadly doesn't have any 3D theaters for quite a ways, so I won't get to see anything in 3D unless I go on a road trip. That's mostly because this is a very poor area, so if they want 3D to be more popular, they need to find a way to make it more affordable for small communities. The only movie I've actually seen in 3D was Avatar, and I quite enjoyed it, but I prefer movies that focus on plot rather than technology spectacles.

I never saw Avatar in 3D, so how does it compare to Thor and Tron: Legacy? (those are the latest ones I've seen)

Ugh. I wish DOTM didn't have such good 3D as people are saying. This will be the "sign from above" to airheaded Hollywood that 3-D isn't really as unnecesary as silly general audience members say it is. :\

Comparing the 3D in Thor and Tron Legacy to the 3D in Avatar is like comparing the CG of a SyFi original movie to the CG of Transformers

It looks okay, I'd probably enjoy it quite a bit with a couple of bong rips.
