I really can't see them making a Transformers 4. I don't think they will have a good enough story to warrant a fourth installment, especially if DOTM ends in a manner that there really is no point in continuing on.

Does it matter it's not like ironhide showed up as a core cast member in every continuity. The only good thing about him dieing is that we will most likely get a new character too replace him meaning a new possible toy

No, in all seriousness, if a TF4 is happening, I don't see Ironhide returning, nor do I want him to. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Ironhide, but then his death would mean nothing. It will always remind everyone of

I hope for part 4 they continue instead of reboot. They could easily do something with Unicron.

Megs and the remains of his team(dead SS, Soundwave, and Shockwave) could be captured by unicron. Megs with his new found purpose(rebuilding Cybertron) is tortured and corrupted and submits to being reborn as Galvatron. Using the remains of the dead, Cyclonus and Scourge are made. This would be a good opportunity to show some new autobots and have the story being revolved around The earthbound Autobots and Nest needing to go help on cybertron. You wouldnt really need Sam, or Bumblebee. Sam would be married and bumblebee stays with him on earth. Replace Bumblebee with Hot Rod (not prime). Kup could take Ironhide's "spot", Etc.

I know its G1 based and please know i love all of tformers not just G1. My only point is that in order for it to be a continuation there's has to be a bigger threat. Like Unicron. This could be done right. Using the new tech deployed for Avatar, the cgi is manageable. Most of the movie would be on cybertron or in space. It would have to be something grandscale like that in order to justify the money needed/projected. Depends on how well DOTM does as well.

years pasted sam and carly get married have a kid cough daniel cough and the autobots are who nows where and they get a messa ge from cybertron saying they need help and then it goes to cybertron with megatron and his army shooting at something the camera looks to the sky and there we see UNICRON goes to black
