I've got all 3 dark versions, with the bird and robot still MOSC. The 'good' versions have eluded me so far...

I love the Meteorbs! I used to have several, but over time they've all become casualties to eBay. Little known fact, most of the MOTU Meteorbs toys were borrowed from an older existing toyline from Japan called Tamagoras. Not only did you have the animals used in MOTU, but you also had insects, vehicles and even the classic Universal monsters...Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy!

I have the silver egg man, but I think it's the original Microchange one, not BWII. I like them more for the orb/egg mode as they make good snacks for Unicron..or moons for Primus, but that's not as fun. :p

Ok, 16 documented dinocassettes on this board, and I know a guy here who has four more - that makes 20, and we also saw two sold on ebay a couple days ago. This thread tells us there are a total of 21 (BWII) egg beasts here. Pretty rare, considering that there are 6 egg beasts but only 4 dinotapes...

Is it truly rarity in the same fashion as the dinocassettes? There are tons of people pursuing the dinos, but I'd wager the average collector doesn't give a flying poo about these things. I think they're pretty sharp myself, but maybe they're "rare" simply because people aren't buying them and aren't selling them - there's little demand, except from a few people. Not truly scarce, just forgettable to the majority of the fandom.

The fact remains that few own them and they are impossible to find, hence they are rare. But yes. they're not anywhere near as desirable as the dinocasettes

Perhaps this thread changes that :p

It seems like a fairly poor assumption that this thread represents the entire number of Eggbeasts owned by 2005 collectors, what with the low number of posters and views in this thread. I do agree about their relative rarity and lack of popularity, but at best the responses here would be more appropriate for estimation.

Of course - its's not at all an accurate estimate, but it does give some indication since there is also a similar thread for the dinocassettes. That was obviously not accurate either, since bigmak chose to show his dinos only in the 'Themed Collection' thread.

I accidentally placed it in the wrong forum too... Could a moderator please move it to the Toyark?
