Here I have the new DOTM Laserbeak. It's an ok figure. Nice to have something to go with my Soundwave. Tried to paint him as close to movie accurate as possible with the little references I had to work with. Used Krylon flat black for the base coat and then Testors steel, aluminum, gun metal, and red.
Other than a head swap, I can't think of a way to make the head look better. He just looks like a newly hatched baby chick.

actually, laserbeak transforms in some kind of homage to the VTOL dragonhawk from G.I. joe sigma 6, actually the head is movie/game accurated, but i think i will wait for the retooled head(the one that the instructions shows) XP and even if people dont like it, ravage RE-entry mode is exactly that, a mode that allows him to move freely while entering some atmosphere,and not just only crash(earth in the movie) teh point of transforming is not only disguise, but utility, like grimlock in g1, he was nothing but a giant metal dinosaur, how could be a "robot in disguise"? but his mode was useful, no?, so ravage re-entry mode IS XD too geek isnt it?
from what i've seen in the trailers and tv spots, I thought lazerbeak transformed into a copy machine to spy on sam or something.
actually some of the info says he can transform in anything that he needs, copy machine, computer, .... but why would they make a copy machine as the alternate mode for a toy? i understand the original soundwave's "player" mode, i mean, he was a spy, and he has a bunch of "cassette" minions, usb didnt apear until afer, so it was a "good" choice for a alt mode but not a copy machine XD thats why he is not the copy machine in the toy form and actually if someone wants a more g1 style laserbeak, the real gear (movie 2007) booster 10x or nightbeat 7 is a good choice http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Booster_X10 and actually this was the design used for buzzsaw in the nefarious comics http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Buzzsaw_(ROTF) but if someone remembers in g1, laserbeak and buzzsaw shared bodies so, as i aid, if someone wants a more g1-esque laserbeak, movie real gear is the obvious choice
AND for the custom itself, its amazing, sorry for the tons of info, i was trying to help but woah, i dont care about the laserbeak version, but your custom made me want the mold so bad
