This isn't exactly new. The Silver Age reboot I won't even count because no one gave continuity any consideration.

But then you had Crisis, which literally rewrite every character (and seriously screwed up some, like Hawkman), and then Zero Hour, which tried to fix what Crisis broke, and then the Infinite Crisis thing which seemed to undo it all

I'm not sure this is going to be anything near as radical as those were.

 

Okay, count me in for Wonder Woman, Superman (and family), Batman (and family), Titans, Justice League International, and Flash.

That should fill out my iPad pretty well.

Newsarama posted a LiveBlog of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee talking about the relaunch at a film festival in California tonight. It was short, vague, and utterly uninformative.

 

Yeah, guess they didn't want to disclose any more stuff after the negative reactions

 

I am getting a huge Young Justice (animated series) vibe off the new Superboy costume... everything except the tattoo seems to match up.

Same black shirt / jeans concept was used in that show too... I wonder if he will have the same attitude?

And if the rock girl isn't Terra, where is she?

This is one of the books I'm actively excited for. It's a good combination of a cool concept and a very good writer and finding out that Nicieza is a long-time fan of the Legion makes me very confident that this will turn out well.

 

So Kyle´s team is made up from:

Bleez (Red Lantern)
Munk(indigo)
Arkillo (Sinestro Corps)
Saphire (either Carol or Fatality)
Glomulus (Orange Lantern)
And the Blue Lantern leader.

Should be interesting to see how Kyle keeps a psychopath like Arkillo in line.

 

I love how GL, Legion, and Batman are relatively unchanged status quo wise, and The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Batman's costumes aren't too different and Nightwing is just a slightly modified color scheme.

I wonder if Dick would still have feelings for Starfire, or would he be involved with the more mobile Batgirl now

 

Has anyone noticed that aside from the cover to JLA #1 (which has been confirmed to be set in the past), we've yet to see Hal Jorden on any of these covers?

Add to that the "There will be only three" thing from War of the Green Lanterns and the fact that all Guy, Kyle, and John are accounted for, and I question whether or not Hal's making it...

 

You might have something there as the first few issues of JLA are going to be set in the past.

 

It is interesting that Hal isn't specifically mentioned by name in the solicits for GL #1 but, given that he's the main character in the new film and that he's one of Johns' pet characters, I'd be surprised if he's not around.

 

Perhaps this new reboot will give him his tongue back.

 

Here's my new theory: he'll be around, but won't have the ring, and will be mentoring whoever his replacement is.

That way, Johns can keep writing him, and he'll still be alive to plug the movie.

 

So, with this reboot, will we no longer have to deal with dead Lian and junkie Arsenal drama anymore? Because if so then I'm all for it.

 

Given the reboot, they could just as easily kill one of em off in the War and then have him come back completely healthy and alive in the reboot
