That is the version of Unicron appearing in the Transformers Vault book.

Can't wait for the TFP figs to hit shelves - now the only decision is, to get CJ or Zombie CJ...

Not that I know of. I imagine wave 4 of the Deluxes and Voyagers will probably start showing up later this month/early next month, so I wave 5 will probably start showing up no more than a month after that.

Honestly I'll probably get both. Cliffjumper for the Autobot shelf, and Terrorjumper for the Decepticon shelf. Especially if the deco is considerably different than normal Cliff's, and some minor retooling wouldn't hurt, lol. Assuming there aren't any mold changes for the Terrorcon repaint, I'll definitely be cutting off one of his horns.

That's not much of a stand, to be honest. If that's the case, then a lot of blisterpacked figures come with free "stands".

Maybe I am color blind but I swear the Takara one is much more accurate.

Well, there is a bit more cardboard there than they usually have (there's more to it than the front facade), but even I'm having a hard time calling them "stands".

I have to admit this Unicron has a nicer paint job and headsculpt than my Armada version. I just don't know if he is a big enough improvement to buy another one.

Arcee looks like she might have a neat transformation sequence.

Anybody brought up that this Unicron is less based on the animated version and more based on the Marvel comics coloring (kinda like MP-8X)?

I dunno, I actually AM colorblind, so its not really my place to say.

THAT actually makes sense, as it's still not a very movie accurate representation. But a comics version does make sense.

Did they happen to mention what the Unicron packaging will look like? Keeping my fingers crossed for a G1-style box, though I'm guessing it will be more along the lines of the traditional Generations packaging.

    Actually, you did say accurate.

And the Takara one is the more accurate to the animation colors. This one is more colored like the unreleased G1 Prototype and the Comics.

No it really isn't. Hasbro's is more accurate to the animation model and the comic colours. Takara used the wrong shades of orange and grey in 2010 Unicron. Both are too dark. Takara used the colour scheme from modern takes on G1 Unicron. Hasbro went with toon accuracy. Which is a rare reversal these days. :lol

The Hasbro looks more cartoonish I guess. Takara looks more realist.

^ Pray tell, on what basis is it possible to judge the realism of Unicron?

As I said before, 2010 Unicron is a bit too orange for my taste. Of course, there is no telling what the final release of Amazon Unicron will look like...
