Yes! Finally! I haven't got any DOTM products yet cos' I wasn't sure whether to go for Cyberverse or Mechtech. That Shockwave=going for Cyberverse=less money spent=more money saved=even more money spent on Cyberverse.

The Takara Unicron is far superior. I'm glad I got it, because the Amazon version just seems off.

I am not normally into repaints but I will make an exception for most of these. Really diggin crowbar, crankcase, and barricade. They paint apps seem to indicate a set, maybe?

 

My guess would be gobot renegade badboy! that makes him a must get!

 

Masterpiece Unicron does look pretty good. Thanks to the remolded Takara head and paint deco. Curious to see the final production paint color. The grey blue has be wondering...

Prime toys look OK. I'll pick up Dlx Arcee, BB, Ratchet and Con. But I'll wait for Voy OP, SS, Megs and BH. I've got a thing for semi proper scaling... Plus I like bigger figs...

HFD fig display was underwhelming... Repaints are cool with me. Some of my favs are repaints!

I like Hatchet.

Guzzle looks OK. I'll wait that out.

Halftrack looks good to me.

Flak looks OK.

Very disappointed in Spacecase. The deco is terrible for such an awesome mold...

HA Leadfoot looks great! I'm curiuos to fold the belly tires back, though... Could he look "slimmer"? Could care less about Steeljaw... Exclusive? That could be a problem if you dont pick it up ASAP...

Wrecker two pack sounds good to me. Is Leadfoot a new mold or a repaint of TS?

Red Ironhide? Hopefully its a deep crimson. NOT SP magenta...

Looking forward to seeing Sideswipe repaint. Its the new DOTM mold, right?

 

I hope repro labels don't go insane on the SDCC stickers for Ultimate Prime when they copy them.. otherwise it might be worth buying the SDCC one even if it's more money if they try to charge Metroplex sticker prices for it.

 

I'm confused though. Aren't Icepick and Chaos on the Decepticon side?

 

I wonder why there's a grey SUV and a white one - a Ratchet that is quite similar to the normal one and an Ironhide that is similar too.

I think it's a mistake to make a Cyberverse repaint of Ironhide Commander unless it's a new colour like Red, Blue or Silver. Making it the same with gold accents is insulting and pointless.

I also find it ironic that Hasbro say they consider these value for money toys when all over the UK threads people are complaining how expensive they are compared to scale on most DOTM toys. Especially Cyberverse Commanders - but also mini-me Deluxes and Deluxe size Voyagers..

 

Is it just me,or does the orange on that new Unicron look more gold-ish?

 

MAN! I just cannot over emphasise how immpressed I am with Space Case, his legs need some more Red above the knees. simple touch up.

 

For the Prime figures, I'll wait for the inevitable Voyager class Prime and Megatron. Those have a much better chance of being show accurate.
As for the rest, I'll probably get the movie Shockwave (first Bayformer design I actually like).

 

Hmm....Space Case doesn't look as great as I had hope, which is no real surprise when regarding Bayverse toys.

Between this and Air Raid it's like they barely bothered with any paint apps.

Still a pity since that was the only one I was interested in buying.

But what ever....

 

I'm pissed. This new Unicron looks SO much better than the Takara version.

 

Anybody know if anything new has been put out in the cases? They said during the panel yesterday that the Voyager Ironhide repaint would be put out, but I haven't seen any pictures of him yet...

I just realized that the Amazon Unicron is featured on page 43 of the Transformers Vault book.

 

- HA Sideswipe is a definite for me, even though the legs are still much to be improved on. K-Mart, TRU ,WM or Target? I don't see an Autobot Alliance patch.
- (Target)HA Leadfoot for sure. HA Roadbuster still looks the best. Looks like the compromised an HA Topspin for those 2, he would have been really beast in this line. Also, Space Case and Jazz(passed on him the first time)for me as well. Oh, and can't forget the new Target Starscream!
- TF rime Starscream...even though I never liked the Jet Form in this series.
