He's a human in league with the cons, and Soundwave seems to be his assigned partner. His father, for the Cons, basically made it too expensive for NASA to ever go to the moon again and investigate the Ark any further. As a result of his father's action, Dylan is kinda...conscripted into the Decepticon forces. He is very willing, however, and is a sadistic caricature of humanity.

 

What's the deal with the Driller? What is that thing? Does it transform?

Are any Constructicons in the movie? We have seen some in the trailers...

Pfft, ridiculous. Not even my die-hard Bayformer movie-loving friends thought that scene was touching. Especially not after 2 seconds later, the stupid fleshies unceremoniously DUMP Prime's body from a helicopter. Seriously... someone tell Bay that that's not what 'gravity' means. Would he have filmed Pearl Harbor by having the coffins of the dead dumped out from flying airplanes?

LOL. Principle.... Have you read any books? Seen movies? Good guys die all the time. Just because your favourite character dies, you scream bloody murder? Heh, you must have been the guy sending death threats to Bay after Jazz was killed.
Newsflash, Shockwave is (obviously) my favourite TF character, but I won't be outraged when he dies. I mean, it'd be like expecting the secondary villain to survive in a Bond movie. It's only logical that he dies, sad as it is.

And Megatron and OP reconciling at the end... man, ROTF had a crappy, cobbled-together in the last week ending (since only OP and BB were there), but this actually beats it. Almost as if they didn't have the budget for a last big Megs vs. OP fight. Am I to believe that the Prime who shot the wounded Demolishor in the head point-blank, while mocking him with "any last words?", the Prime who showed the Fallen his own spark before crushing it, this Prime just lets a wounded and damaged Megatron go to reclaim Cybertron (and, obviously, 'cause that's what he'll do) to rebuild a Con empire?

Also... where the heck are the Autobots? The rest of them, I mean. We have a whole army of cons, but only 9 bots? Maybe, as I long suspected, it's the Autobots who are the divergent new faction in the Bayverse.  

And if anyone can tell me who the heck Brains is, and what his purpose in the movie is, I'd appreciate it. I mean, I read Rising Storm, but still find it odd that Sam is now living with two small obnoxious robots for some reason, having picked him up between movies. Introducing new characters between movies has always been a thorn in my side... it's as if Lando Calrissian was introduced in Return of the Jedi first, without any backstory.

Really saddened to hear of Wheeljack's potential passing. It's a little deflating to hear that after being really excited that he was even in the film. I can tell my heart strings are probably going to be somewhat plucked when he snuffs the bucket farm.

Everything else sounds major bad ass though. I didn't read the whole thing since I don't want to spoil all of it, but the things I did read so far seem like interesting choices.

 

Picked up my copy on Tuesday night and just finished it...WOW is all I can say!

Beast Wars Megatron: I'm amazing, dastardly and a total bastard. Still not deep, just charming

Prime Megatron: I'm evil, thats it, nothing else, go home, I don't even have a reason for all this and I've had more screentime than Movie Megatron so far

This isn't some stupid website, you can purchase these spoilers at fucking Barnes and Noble. Also, almost all of this has been known for two weeks in the movie forum.

 

It ain't. I have the novel myself and everything eclipse prime posted is 100% true. And there is no way that they would put on a novel and have it be completely different from the movie. At most there will be some scene changes, mainly because this is produced before the movie is in edit (Two good examples is that Wheelie in the ROTF novel is more whiny and child-like instead of being like a foul mouth Rattrap, and in the Men in Black 2 novel one of the characters doesn't get the major twist that appears in the movie).

 

Ken's character knows about the government coverup and tries to let Sam know. I skimmed that part but I believe he dies when Laserbeak attacks.

He is thrown out the window by Laserbeak After Sam mentions he has been talking to him about a coverup on the moon. I think its calious of Sam to just walk away like he did, he could have tried to help.
