Well to be fair there was a point to all of it. It just suffered from trying to cover too much at once.

"Go to Sam, now the troops, now Ironhide, back to Sam, over to Megatron, now to Devastator, now back to Sam, ok now to the Twins, now Simmons, Railgun! Railgun! Railgun!"

I'm thinking that maybe they are showing bits to places that will report it because they could have a credibility gap.

Micheal Bay was out there pretty hard before the release about what a great film Revenge of the Fallen was and unlike other films released that summer his film didn't suffer from the writers strike. Then the film ended up being a big Razzie winner.

Perhaps the suits are worried that people might think hey you told me a lie once why should I believe you this time. So instead of the director and the actor selling the film maybe they are attempting to sell it with previews to places people might trust.

OK. I read the whole review and it does seem to have taken my belief in this film being worth a watch a step forward. My only dilemma - the battle sequence. While I have a secret inner feeling that The Battle of Chicago (as the reviewer calls it) could indeed be epic if done well, another side of me is slightly worried and is hoping that this battle does not turn out to be mindless action which ends up giving us a headache. After all, 3D is known for giving people headaches and a 1 hour battle in 3D might as well be the perfect recipe for that but like I said, a part of me still believes that this time, Bay might just have got it right.

All said, I AM watching this movie that's for sure. I think the only question is - how many times ??? Once ??? Twice ??? Or at the most Thrice ???
