that kind of a thing [putting it all together by sub-groups/character importance/whatever you wanna call it] is not what this book is about. i think if you want that sort of thing then the Ultimate Guide from a few years back is your thing. This is all about the BRAND of Transformers. Not so much the mythology.


its still a fantastic book. i'm still flipping through it, its got so much neat stuff in it

The book has a forward by Peter Cullen and a page count of 160.

Transformers Vault

 

I think this would go great with other Transformer books that I have. I might buy this as well.

 

I'll probably still look at an online review or two of the book when it comes out, but there's a good chance I'll buy it anyway.

Can someone (Josh?) review this book? I'm a sucker for this kind of book, BUT at only 160 pages, I'm wondering what this book does that TFWiki doesn't already do for free.

History of Transformers, I'm in.

 

I've had a look through the book at work when a rep from Abrams came to see me. It really is a wonderful book, with stuff that we have never seen before. Remember that G1Rodimus proto we saw last year? Lots of stuff along those lines. Its also much smaller than I expected. It's actually a very comfortable size to read rather than the big coffee table book I was expecting. Looking forward to recieving a proof so I can take a better look. The rep did ask for no details to be divulged though. The book is strictly under embargo, so can't go as much detail about the contents as I'd like.

Great update!! I've had mine on pre order since it was first announced...just a nice littled added extra..and having Peter Cullen write the forward too!!
