Looks to me like he has the g1-verse Decepticon logo on him.

He looks good, but it is weird his shoulders are so high. None of the renderings show him like that, with his head buried between them.

This and Leader-class Sentinel Prime are the first two movie toys I'm actually looking forward to. And I think Shockwave might be my favorite of the two!

While I was hunting for voyager Megs (no dice) I was pretty stoked to find Shockwave today, and I'm pretty impressed with him overall. There's a lot more going on with his transformation than one would expect, with the given "cybertronian shape blob" alt mode, which makes for an experience that's a bit more involved than one would anticipate and that is overall quite pleasing.

The arm canon looks great, the mechtech action is actaully fun to fiddle with (although the rubber hose will often get in its way - I've found using the blade as a bayonet doubles as a useful hose control to keep it out of the way of the mechtech action), and Shockwave's overall robot and alt forms are stable and easy to handle. Bonus points, P.S., for not actually having to remove the canon for transformation. Always a plus.

There are some tolerance gremlins, in particular with plugging together his backpack, that are a bit of a pain until you get used to them (or until you just ignore them, which, frankly, is a perfectly viable option), but otherwise his transformation is clever and actually entertaining.

Overall I dig him. He's certainly a worthwhile addition to any toy collection.

Great pics lushkwok! I love your reviews man keep it up.

I was having this dilemma too, because yeah Shockwave seems to be the most likely candidate for a Decepticon Leader. But at the end of the day I think I will get the Voyager and if they do make a Leader, than that too as well. I mean it's freakin Shockwave afterall, for a guy who's used to getting shafted in terms of toys, he may actually end up getting 2 decent sized ones in this line and we should be thankful more than anything else if it does occur IMO.

Sadly, this doesn't seem to be the case for Shockwave anymore. This is clearer if you've already been spoiled from the movie plot. NOTE: If you haven't read the spoilers, DON'T READ THEM! I think you'll enjoy the movie a whole lot (if you're planning to see it, that is)

Shockwave might be like this toyline's The Fallen, in which he won't get a bigger toy but most probably will get another redeco or slight remold.

I think I'm actually more excited for a Megatron leader. Just because that design would KILL in larger scale, especially next to Leader Sentinel and Leader Op from the last film.

I think they can swing Megatron and Shockwave though...pretty please? I WILL LITERALLY BE BUYING BOTH TWICE.

Yes, same here. Megatron and Shockwave's designs for this sequel are truly awesome and I wouldn't mind having them in leader class too. (and I rarely buy duplicates of the same character in the same 'verse, the exception being Sideswipe and Sidearm Sides)

After hitting several stores (Wal-mart, Meijers, and Targets), I finally found him today in store (TRU) and bought him.

I'd like to say I'm quite pleased, but as is, I just can't. I don't know if it's because I picked up Warpath last Friday and his awesomeness makes everything else seem worse or because I've been toying around with Scourge as well, but I'm just not feeling it.

I'm also having a nigh impossible time getting the gun to stay attached to his left forearm, so I think that I'm going to have to end up switching forearms. That his big gun isn't on his left hand is bugging me more then I'd like to admit. I'm also not worried about the transformation post change, for whatever reason I can't get the left arm to fit into the grooves for the wrist when it's the correct way, switching them won't make a noticable difference.

For a more practical complaint, the really high shoulders are a bother, he looks even goofier then Animated Ultra Magnus when he sticks his arms out in front of him. He's also stuck looking a bit down so you have to tilt him at the hips to get him to look straight ahead, which puts him almost in a Dreamwave pelvic thrust pose. I can also bet that we'll be seeing some Shockwaves in the future that are broken at the spine, that piece that the head and backpack attach to the body on feels frail.

Transformation isn't bad, the colors are quite a bit different in hand then in most pictures including the hand color; it's far more muted and looks nicer, it's not a bad Transformer, but it's still got it's flaws.

Maybe we'll get lucky and get a Leader version that is fantastic, but I doubt it. Maybe I'll be disturbingly happier with it after I switch the forearms, I don't know. Right now he feels pretty middle of the road.

can someone take a quick size comparison shot with Shockwave and some other movie Voyagers? maybe the first Ratchet, or Blackout? or any AEC Voyagers please? just a boring static next to each other shot will work, just wanna see how big he is...
