I'll consider ordering this thing again if the problems TRULY are fixed. I'll need to wait for an in-depth review however.

Considering mine broke twice while transforming him the very first time, then considering ToyArena refusing to accept a exchange for one that wasn't defective....forgive the language, but this pretty much pisses me off and slaps me in the face AGAIN.

They are just asking for people to buy the "updated" version then return the old one by doing this.

Even though I have a good MP-09, I'm just a little pissed. I have the 1st version in my PoL and they can't exchange it for the fixed version.

Pre-ordered it. Not sure that I will be able to keep it, but hell, but atleast I have some time to save. Not too much DOTM stuff to buy, and this gives me a reason to really limit myself.

Early adopters always pay in one way or another. Between this debacle and the poor choice in timing/pricing(imo of course) of the new MP OP Takara is really not giving me much confidence in their future products.

Information from fan sites and retailers should be treated as rumors.
Wait for TT's official announcement for they are the ones who make the final decision on fixing the flaws or keep the toy as it is. If TT has decided to make changes there will be a recall on the last release.

I'll wait for in-depth reviews before believing they've actually addressed the QC issues.

But if they have, I'll be really mad cause I just got mine! Dx

And I did the same. It's such a shame to leave Roddy in the box though. I think I'll wait for reviews on this new figure to see what they fixed before I buy it. If it clearly is better and more sturdy, I may pick it up to finally take it out of the box.

I'm sure there will be a way to tell them apart and BBTS isn't as stupid as Walmart. I have a feeling a good number of people are going to be busted with their switcharoo attempts...and probably have to pay the shipping both ways if they want their original MP back. While it straight up sucks having paid $200 for a flawed fig that's supposedly going to be corrected while you remain screwed, it'll almost be worth it if these mensas will post their stories of how their scams got mythbustered and they had to pay an additional $30 to get their POS Rod back or how BBTS "stole" their MP because scamboy wasn't willing to pay the shipping and BBTS wouldn't send it back on their dime.

I agree. However, I probably wouldn't feel as bad if it were Takara handling the returns and getting screwed (it's their F*** up to begin with), but BBTS is blameless here.

Also agree. If Takara had a local store of their own, hell, I'd probably pull the scam myself!

I missed out the first time, so am still getting it regardless of the foot spring fiasco.
It's going to stay mostly in Bot mode to pair up with my new MP-10 ''Perfect Edition'' Convoy. :D

I got my MP 09 Rodimus version 2.0 today.

I would say that in QC in general is probably better for this figure, but mine still has a few issues. The chest doesn't peg in securely and one of the wrists is all floppy.

He's a very nice looking figure, shame takara still couldn't get it quite right on the second release.
