I'm not talking about what is better than Prime or not or the award themselves.

I'm talking about the dude going "lol this whole awards is crap the show I like didn't get in", 30 year old too that should know the difference between his opinion and fact.

C'mon, guys, we should all be pleased for the Prime crew and cast for their achievement, not shooting it down.

I'll have to agree that the CG animation on Prime is of an impressive if not the highest standard. Superbly detailed and expressive, beautiful backgrounds and settings (which Toyama has picked up one of the awards for!) and movie-grade action scenes. That's all quality animation!

I don't like prime. I think cullen's performance is bland and dull, and the show doesnt grab me visually in the way past series have(probably because how dark and muted it is). I feel tired and bored while watching it.

BUT, congrats to them! This is a positive thing for the franchise regardless of my, or anyone else's feelings on the matter.

Thats great news! Its a great show.

The animation is nice and fluid with some beauitiful backgrounds and character models.

    The writing is decent.

But as much as I LOVE Peter Cullen playing Optimus, he is probably the worst VO in the series. I think its how his dialog is written... The only thing worse is Bumblebee's annoying beeps...

Frank Welker should have gotten the nomination.

Since everyone feels like expressing their opinions and behaving like immature playground kidstoday, I'll say my oh so humble opinion about yours about yours.

I'm thankful that despite your displeasure for the show you're able to look on the bright side. Seriously, this Emmys thing is based on opinions after all. I have no problems with opinions but when folks start heated arguments it takes the fun out of discussion which is what some come here for. And this Emmys thing is a big deal to Prime fans.

Actually, it kind of is. Bear in mind the things mentioned of the animation. Some of these things, particularly the business conducted behind the man action (such as Miko punching Jack in the shoulder and Jack's little-girly reaction during Prime's speech at the end of "Convoy") is likely scripted. On that note, Prime's monologues are brilliantly written; he's a true orator. I'm in AP English right now, and every time he speaks I have some moment where I go "Oh - epistrophe!" or "alliteration!" or "anaphora!" (rhetorical devices that I won't go into right now). And the characters themselves - especially Soundwave   - have so much depth. Every line is filled with character (and part of that is the voicing; I know, but the actor first needs a line before he/she can awesome-i-fy it) and the show harkens back to the days of Beast Wars in that it has the perfect mix of humor and drama.

In short, the writing rocks. LIKE A BOULDER. A GREAT, BIG, ROUND, COYOTE-CRUSHING, GIANT ROCK. :rock

Oi, both of you, behave! Lody, I can count at least four logical fallacies from you (non sequitur, post hoc, red herring, false authority, ad hominem - please don't make me add to this list), and shroob, you're not really helping by encouraging him (and you've got some ad hominem, too, calling him a "sugarcube" - what?).

    Leave it be.

And if you don't know what I said, well, I did say I was in AP. Look it up.

Good news, as far as I'm concerned. TFP has been really good so far, and looks like it's just going to get even better as it goes along. Too bad it didn't win all of them, but oh well. There will be more to win in the future, and it's always good just to be nominated.

I think this post is great. I wish more people (myself included) had this mentality. "I don't like it, but kudos for it doing well."

That shouldn't matter. You know the old saying a good comedian can make the phonebook sound funny? Similar for voice actors. Unless the dialogue is absolute nonsense a good VA should be able to make anything sound good by giving it life and believing what they say. I chalk it up to poor voice direction. He does fine in the movies.

Hell I'm A-cing English 4000 level college courses and even I don't know what you said...

I miss the days where we studied the tools of writings and not the context of the works themselves. Those were the simpler times.

Spoilers Ahead! You need to be updated with TPrime episodes to understand the in coming arguement.

But thank you for voicing my thoughts on Prime I'd been having trouble articulating. Prime is a very deep and mysterious character to me. I know that sounds strange. He's my favorite character but I'm frustrated that the show hasn't taken the time to flesh him out like the rest of the cast yet. Only recently have I realized that if they start focusing primarily on Optimus and Megatron that the game pieces have moved into the Cerebus zone. It's a term from TvTropes in referencing when a show starts to take a darker shift in tone and drama. In other metaphorical terms the ball starts rolling and there's no stopping. I've noticed that Megatron seems to be set up as a Cerenusian Knight of sorts. When the Knight enters the field he's a start contrasts to the bumbling villains faced before. Yes we've faced Megatron before but since the pilot he's been on the low, instead our antagonist is Starscream. As Optimus put it "He's no Megatron." Starscream is dangerous but not to the level Megatron is. Now Megatron is back and well...

Recall the affect Shockwave's prescence had once he appeared in TFA. The Knight of Cerebus enters the playing field...

Yeah, I'm with you guys about Cullen's voice being a bit unimpressive this time around, but I'm viewing it as better-late-than-never recognition of his work before.
