You know, I'm actualy kinda glad I read the spoilers. Since teh last two movies were a huge disappointments (with ROTF being apsolute s&$%) I was expecting this one to be as well, I wasn't even planing on watching it in the theatre...

But now this has me really excited! If they do the double-crossing of Sentinel right, and make it clear why he is doing it (he wants to save the planet at any cost and the "the end justifies the means" philosopy) he can come out as a rather simpatetic and complex villain, unlike the Fallen and Megatron!

well I meant that I don't mind it following the g1 story line of the ultimate doom...that was for the most part a pretty original story back then...the whole Idea of bad humans working with decepticons is always welcome...and cybertron being space bridged to earth is cool although this time its earth being beamed over to cybertron.... not sure the logic in that... wont we get cold with out our sun?

also the enslavement of the human race is cliche but its a better cliche than the whole blow up the mothership to take down the whole fleet deal...I also like like that soundwave is tearing heads off ...makes the decepts a lil more threatening then they were in the other movies.

but I am not holding my breath that the execution of this movie will be any better then the other turds bay made....I hope its awesome I really do but I just dont think it will....here's hoping I am wrong

    it says:
Page 73: Dylan says they're not going to be shipping people here, they're shipping their planet here

So cybertron is being shipped here, not the other way around. Or am I reading this the wrong way? Could be... :s

The scene from the trailer that shows a giant blue beam shooting up from a destroyed Chicago is probably the space bridge being opened above the city. During the filming there was a segment where Sam and Patrick Dempsys Character were fighting on a section of fallen building and looking up into the sky as debris flew all around them, I bet they are looking at the giant space hole that is bringing Cybertron to Earth

Honestly the ultimate doom is more believable than the movie plot point. The reason why is atleast there was only one pillar in that and its obvious that blowing it up does the trick.

But Im sorry if you are going to build these pillars all over earth how about some redundant controls for god sakes. You take all this time to construct these pillars and you make it so only goes down and they are useless.

It is a very tired story at this point for a movie. Hell even in my job where we build servers we usually have redundancy built in for even just 2 machines so if one goes down the other one still takes over the firsts function.

However I could argue that point thats not going to be the major failing of this Movie. As eyecandy as it will be it is going to just ruin live action transformers for the fans but im sure the general populous who could care less will love it.

As a side note I think I figured out what they did with the Twins.

They ARE NOT in the movie. They are there in there new alt modes but I dont think they ever transform most likely. More importantly they never speak so while we all know those two are the twins they made them differant enough that they can just say its differant characters so they can deny any wrong doing from ROTF

oh ok cool....I really like that part in the g1 toon .....I would have been pleasantly surprised if I had seen that in the theatre with out any spoilers b4 hand....but I just could not help myself to read them....its like when you see candy and can't hold back from scarfing some down then when you get the stomach ache you regret it.......anyways I really want to see cybertron being pulled into the orbit of earth I bet it will look amazing

I am glad I was spoilt is well. What I am delighted is both sides seem to have a right balance, they both have enough screen time. And reading by this, both megatron and optimus prime are gonna have more screen time, compared to ROTF.

Something I find interesting is that fact that Megs doesn't get a lot of action. The only major mention of him doing something is when he blasts Sentinel. Wish he'd fight Optimus...

Megs is still damaged, he is more of a thinker than a fighter has his new mode is a hint he plots in DOTM, a lesson from ROTF. He does not need to go leather and tongs, that is why shockwave is there and plenty of other decepticons, much like Sauron he can sit back and let others get killed, megs is using shockwave for a much bigger plan. Shockwave is almost a puppet to megatron and sentinal, shockwave comes in recks destruction, and megs and then sentinal fiinish the job off.

Well 2 things could come out of this.

1 - megs and prime seem to team up and fight sentinal

2 - megs could back stab optimus after sentinal is killed and they have one final stand off, depends how long bay is pushing for DOTM.

Adding the fact I am sure he tries to activate the space-bridge, which there could be fighting and prime gets a battering from all 5 decepticons megs leading te ambush. There has to be a balance, and bay is trying to get it right. Esp there is 2 showdowns, shockwave vs optimus prime, main battle optimus prime and megatron vs sentinal prime. I am guessing that is when megatron does his fighting

"WHAT A TWIST!" is what M. Night. Shyamalan would say
This sounds great, I skimmed through it so i missed how Shockwave, Sentinel and apparently soundwave die, so I don't think i've spoiled myself too much. Though there is one thing...they're transporting Cybertron, a larger and older planet that is home to a technologically advanced race thats millions of years old? Hasn't Doctor Who done this already??

You mean "The End of Time?" I had the same thought – the characters and events match up rather well. You've got the once-respected leader of a lost civilization (Rassilon/Sentinel Prime) determined to bring his ruined planet (Gallifrey/Cybertron) back to life by teleporting it to Earth and killing all living things, forcing former enemies (The Doctor and the Master/Optimus Prime and Megatron) to team up to stop him.

On the other hand, given the circumstances under which they find Sentinel and his relationship to Optimus, it also has a lot in common with the 2003 Battlestar Galactia reboot's episode "Pegasus." Wherein our heroes discover a once-lost ship commanded by someone who outranks the current leader – this being seen as a good thing all around until it becomes clear the new commander is psychotic, and is someone who brands anyone who disagrees with their win-at-all-costs mentality a traitor before trying to have them executed...

    SPECULATION:

For those complaining about Sentinel Prime's 180.. consider we don't know how long he's been "dead" before he's revived by Optimus. If you want a way to rationalize it, look at it this way.. the longer you're dead, the more corrupted you become.

Alternately, you could say the process is like birth/reformatting for Transformers.. remember in the first film where they changed a cell phone into a Transformer.. it was "evil/chaotic" without the influence of the Matrix (presumably).

Likewise, we don't know if there's side-effects of being revived long term without the All Spark. It could be a similar situation, after all, the first thing Prime does once resurrected? Rips off faces and goes berserk.

So there are parts that were filmed that we hav no idea yet where it belongs like:

    The Beat up Datsun Bumblebee

    The glove that Sam wears

when Sam goes flying/dangling in through the air

I thought humans turn against the Autobots bcause someng happened since all the "Go home" pictures that were found

Dunno where you're pulling that from. It's pretty obvious Sentinel's plan predates his death.

Maybe you missed the part where I labelled it speculation? Just trying to offer an explanation for the complainers.

Besides, you're saying his plan was to travel across the galaxy, teleport Cybertron to another planet and enslave the indigenous population to revive Cybertron? That he planned with Megatron 2000 years ago to meet up on Earth, plant some space bridge antenna on the moon?

Yes, the comics show him willing to sacrifice for Cybertron and take risks, but to say he planned with Megatron years ago, but Megatron forgot about the antenna when he crashed makes no sense.

The comic even shows Soundwave taking notice of something he found on the moon. Since he's found in stasis, chances are he wasn't building the network on the moon, which means Soundwave is the one who's been busy doing so. Which is why Megatron is confident upon hearing Soundwave's plan.

Besides, I saw the scans, there wasn't anything that showed any meetings with Megatron etc beforehand. From all indications, he was offline and brought back to Earth where he stayed offline.

My guess is Optimus revives Sentinel Prime. Sentinel Prime wakes up and suddenly realizes he does not love Optimus anymore but loves Megatron instead.
