Dweller - Transformers Wiki Hopefully Bay won't give this robot an anti-climactic death like with Devastator. Does anybody here remember this character from the cartoon or comics?
I remember bringing this up as a possible inspiration for it a while back, but don't remember if anybody ever agreed/disagreed, lol... Certainly has a similar look to the Dweller.
And I thought Megatron was a gun, as we know, Bay usually realizes when something is just too plain ridiculous to appear on-screen. Trypticon would probably be some big badass monster [like Devastator] instead of a T-Rex, thus my assumption. Also, I just want to see Omega Supreme and Trypticon in the same movie, so they can fight [neither were confirmed, but do I look like I give a damn?]
Trypticon would be one of the easier base bots to fit into the movies with few changes to teh concept. He wasn't so much a T-rex as a big dino-like monster. The worm thing is certainly not Trypticon.
Maybe that thing didding up the ground was one of his hands. What do you think, Split Up? *trollface*
I don't think a giant T-Rex robot would be ridiculous, they could say he arrived when the dinosaur's were here and scanned the T-Rex because he felt it was the most bad ass. He's been asleep deep within the Earth and the Cons have awakened him for this movie. Then again no, because even what I just came up with sounds ridiculous.
Bingo. We already have GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS talking, that's a big feat, a GIANT FREAKING ROBOTS talking AND being a dinossaur is way too much for American Audiences, their brains would melt in their skulls with the sheer awesomeness.
Well there go my hopes of ever seeing the Dinobots on the big screen, or the Dinocons for that matter.
Yeah there's no way it's Trypticon. Going from a Trex type to a worm type would be too drastic a change since a worm and Trex and that relatable. Megatron in the past has already had dozens of different types of drastic Alt mode changes in time. We should of been use to it a long time ago. I'm going with the Dweller being more Likely.
I'm pretty sure it was confirmed in Foundation issue #2 or 3 that the drillworm is just a massive creature native to Cybertron that Shockwave captured and keeps as a pet WMD. It can be assumed he unleashes it at some point during the film to tear shit up.
I read about this somewhere else, that Megs and Shockwave find it or something and Shockwave decides to keep it. If this is in the comics pertaining to the movie then they probably won't be going with the actual G1 Dweller. Not surprised.
I saw a post from some lady at TFlive and said it was indeed dweller. And she may have been some employee or journalist..
