Question about display stands

These stands marketed as Cloth Myth stands are just solid, static posts correct?

They can't flex and bend like these

So, my real question. Are the second type of stand (the adjustable tamashii stands) sturdy enough to hold an armored myth cloth in the air? I'm visualizing Seiya in an action pose in the air with his wings all spread. Are the tamashii stands strong enough to support that? What about the Cloth myth stands (first link)?

Trying to decide which type of stand to get. Thanks for any help.

 

They kind of can, you can tighten the screws in the joint parts to make it stiffer, but you really have to post it a certain way to keep it from coming apart, if the weight is too much to the front the rod would come off of the short stick on the joint part.

Hmm decisions.
Maybe I'll just use all those clear Marvel Legends stands I have around. Just put some kind of soft clip on the end of that post.

Actually, does anyone know how the size of the bases compare between the tamashii humanoid stands and the myth cloth stands. The bases on the myth cloth stands seem to only be wide enough for the figures to stand relaxed, but not wide enough for deep stances.

 

I haven't tried it with Myth Cloth, but my Ultra-Act Ultraman Zero and SOC Zero Kage can be displayed in midair no problem.

Finally found this thread.. Got my Capricorn yesterday and I finally finished my 12 Gold Saint, have 14 actually because of extra Gemini and Sagittarius. Also have the Appendix for Virgo (it's my sign) and Sagittarius. Now I just have to wait for the white stands to come in at BBTS in July. i think im done for now with SCM, I was thinking of getting Saori but cant justify $100 on her... I'm getting the itch to get the 5 bronze saints but I must resist....

Ok so since im pretty new to SCM i wanna make sure im doing this right. Are the legs and arm armor parts held in by friction only? I ask because I was putting my MISB Virgo together yesterday and one of the leg armor sits higher than the other. If I try to level them one will just end up loose and all the way at the bottom. Any fixes for this?

Just push it up as high as you can, you can always try like seran wrap around the leg or something, not that I know if it'll work because I've not tried it myself, but might work in theory.

 

Ill try to take a pic of it but I tried pushing them all the way up on the left one you can see the knee joint when its all the way up, on the right it covers it up. So the armor on one side covers more of the foot than the other one.

 

got seiya god cloth today, its beautiful...still on the fence about the ikki god cloth. anyone got it? is the colour difference of the plastic and die cast parts really obvious? i will most probably get the dark and V1 phoenix as he is my fav character from the show. who is your favourite?

 

My favorite of the bronze saints is Phoenix Ikki. My overall favorite caracters are Milo (scorpion), Sigfried and kagaho.

Ikki, seen it in real life, is a bit dissapointing compared to the promo shots. You do see the difference between the plastic and the metal, how hard depends on the lighting. IN the shop where i saw it it was really obvious, the more light the more you see the difference i found.
Anyway I crumbled, i need a complete saint seiya collection gonna by Ikki god cloth next week with my easter eggs  .

Yesterday i received my Hades (armor version), I now need to go to Ikea to get an extra display cabinet. Will take new collection pictures when it's set up end of next week.

The only ones i will never buy are teh gold colored versions of V2 and V4, they are just such an expensive waist of money when you allready have the normal versions, and they are all in boring gold color...
