I would I too am a fan of villains who see the light or fight side by side the hero (vegeta, picilo, and many other villains are favorites of mine).

I'd like him to have a "hero" moment... meaning, he saves the good guys from something else just so he can screw them himself.

I do. I dunno why but one of my favorite concepts in movies has always been betrayal. Good guys turning bad, bad guys turning good, doesn't matter, I just like it. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader would have to be my favorite example.

 

I kinda want a ROTJ thing to happen with megatron, where he acknowledges he is too far gone maybe he is battling sentinel and is chasing him around some buildings. Sentinel:" Megatron remember who you are, remember what we fought for i need you to help us" Megatron: "...It is... too Late for me Sentinel"

Hmmm...I think if starscream and Shockwave teamed up to take Megatron down (a coup), he may be forced to team up with the hated Autobots, maybe the whole invasion scene would be against Megatron as well for getting his butt kicked through the past 2 movies. But would the Autobots, more importantly Optimus Prime accept his help...I could see a scene of tons of Decepticons vs Megatron,Prime and the Autobots...did they not team up in the comics or series?

 

oh i thought you meant that the odds are not in his favor and then all of a sudden he just somehow levels up and blows up a bunch of military vehicles and an autobot at the same time, thus having a hero moment in his own right

Well as long as shockwave pisses megs off he has to do something heroic, it will be nice to see something like that, besides mags and shockwave will be fighting each other leaving starscream to take command of the cons. I don't want megs to die seeing him as a truck is already badass, I love it if megs and prime take on shockwave.

 

I don't want to see this, that's for sure. Megatron seems like an irredeemably evil thing, and he had NO question or objection considering the pyramid thing would've wiped off all life on earth. He had no issue with essentially taking advantage of Prime's weakness for Sam and back stabbing him. Killing and taking life isn't an issue for him. He cares not for anything but himself and his cause.

That's what I liked about Movie Megatron. I can see Shockwave betraying him, but I cannot see him siding with Optimus. Chances are he would be planning on killing Shockwave and taking the reigns back for himself. Oh, and mercilessly persecuting anyone who followed alongside Shockwave. That's what I see Megatron more likely doing.

I like the idea but I don't think its going to happen.

 

In the back of my head, I envisioned Megatron teaming up with Optimus to take down Shockwave...but I don't know if I want that now.

My original idea for this was when I saw photos of the Mack truck in D.C. Maybe that is the case, I thought. And Starscream turns around and sides with Shockwave.

Personally, I'd like it if he did. In part because I think it would go to show that movie Megatron is more than just some brute.

I mean, I think it'd be pretty cool if the final battle was him and Optimus teaming up against Shockwave.

Is it needed having shockwave turn on megs, shockwave is one of the loyal allies of megatron. We have not seen any kind of relationship built between megatron and shockwave. It would be cool if we had 2 proper unstoppable villains side by side destroying earth, which makes the task defeating the decepticons even more difficult.

Maybe we will learn more of this huge invasion megatron and shockwave must have been put together for DOTM.
