Hasbro did make an exclusive Classics Huffer that was made with Cybertron Armourhide. I think it is a perfect figure. I picked one up at a show last year for $30 so that still keeps it cheaper than 3rd party goods.

I think Hasbro did an awesome job beyond Classics. We just moved away from Animated which taught us that they can make show accurate figures out of alt modes that seem impossible to convert into a Robot; let alone a screen accurate rendition of said bot. TF: Prime toys are following suit. I didn't think they could make a thin BB out of that camero, but look at the pics...they did.

Just because 3rd party stuff is awesome doesn't make what HasTakTo is giving us any less awesome. I personally don't think that you need to slander the main corporations to up lift the 3rd parties. 3rd party groups are the delicious frosting to the HasTakTo cake we call Transformers.

Hasbro didn't make it. Funpub did for Botcon 07.

I should have stated Hasbro endorsed...or am I wrong about that too lol.

What I do know for fact is that it was a BOTCON figure and Hasbro endorses those no?

I dunno what that means in regards to my statement. All I was really saying is that the Botcon Huffer is a perfect Classics Huffer. I won't go into how, for some reason, a repaint from Fanpub costs more than a completely new figure from any 3rd party group. Let me guess, huge licensing costs? lmao

They have to give some sort of OK or Funpub would not be able to make the toys using their molds.

Well it is a matter of opinion on that fact. I don't think it makes a good classics huffer personally. Doesn't have the right feel to me, but again it is personal opinion. As far as cost goes, if you paid 30 for it then you got it less then most 3rd party products. As far as the minty new cost is concerned there are a lot of factors that play into a toys cost. Hasbro can sell a toy for 12 bucks cause they have thousands upon thousands made, where as Funpub may only have 2 thousand at most made. Hasbro gets a better price do to volume. Plus any fees Funbup may have to pay for using the molds, plus cost of any retools can drive their cost up. You factor in that they are not owned by Hasbro, so they need to make a profit to survive and you have that factored in as well. that is just for the club exclusives toys. Now taking the botcon sets into account, you also have to factor in the fact they have to pay for the center and conventions rooms upfront, get the toys made, pay the artist that design the new head as well as the comics and pay their employees air fair, hotel, etc and it can be kinda costly for them. So why not recover some of that cost in the toys??
