    I think Mirage is a good name for it, it'll be interesting to see what the character in the film is like.

    I know at least fan who is relieved by this announcement, if only because it means less merchandise they have to buy to be a rodimus completionist.

    He got a deluxe sized Classics release before Hound, Ironhide, Prowl, Powerglide, Rodimus, Jazz and a lot of other G1 Autobots so someone must have thought Mirage was a fairly important Autobot.

    Just because Mirage is late to the movies doesn't mean he's never been an important character to the franchise. To fit within a budget and story they can't put every Autobot in all of the live action films.

    Though i am a big rodimus fan I wouldn't have liked him ass a ferrari. I would prefer him as a chevy or some type of old car.

    They shouldve swapped sideswipe and mirage's altmodes, BUT having said that, the movie characters are totally their own and so no biggie, itl grow on me. HAVING SAID THAT... topspin totally shouldve been mirage.

    I'm rather frustrated with people who are basically saying, "Suck it G1!" in the wake of the Ferrari not being Rodimus. Grow up people, seriously.

    I personally thought that the Ferrari was going to be Rodimus, but I'm okay with Mirage, but surprised. But I would prefer Mirage be white, perhaps, since Sentinel, Optimus, and the red Wrecker are predominantly red already.

    I'm pretty stoked that Mirage gets some attention, was actually kinda hoping it would be sunstreaker so we could have them twins but oh well..

    In the end it doesnt really matter too much to me who it is though. I seriously doubt that his lines in the movie would enable you to figure out who he is if you didnt already know >__<

    Truth be told I'm rather frustrated that the first time around they didn't go with a red optimus or ironhide (or bumblebee) because red and cgi didn't look right or something, and now we have a red Sentinel, Mirage and Wrecker.... so.. what, did something change that made it suddenly okay to make red autobots?

    Probably. Technology marches on and I'm sure that many things which were difficult or impossible just a few years ago are just an easy mouseclick correct away now. Better cameras and/or digital colour grading will have likely made filming better reds possible.
