Throughout the G1 series and related comics, there's been a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship between to of the best (in my opinion) characters in the continuity:

Galvatron & Ultra Magnus.

Though both have been brought out by Hasbro, they could have been better. Galvatron could maybe have had his G1 Alt mode for example, and Ultra Magnus could have been bigger with arms that didn't come off every two seconds.

Anyone agree?

 

Take note, I mean the Titanium Magnus arms come off, not Classics.

 

Can I vote for just Galvatron and not Magnus? I'm quite happy with how he turned out with the FP update. We definitely need a voyager Galvatron that turns into a cannon.

Galvatron no. Him being a super powered psychotic midget tickles my fancy. Ultra Magnus yes. I've never liked how the city commander armour looked.

 

An IDW/Classics UM and Galvatron would do well I believe, hell people bought Drift.

If Universe Galvatron didn't have the transformation problems, I'd probably love the toy. The tank just looks and functions a lot better than his phallic cannon mode.

 

Sadly not all of use like the look of the fansproject stuff. I do not like either City Commander or protector armor. Plus to get a g1 inspired Magnus should not require such an expensive add on.

 

As I can not possibly afford the FP Magus armor OR a Magnus fig to put in the armor, I would absolutely LOVE to see a new Ultra Magnus. Galvatron, yes, because like others have said the deluxe just falls apart too damn easy. I don't care if he's a tank, he just needs to be built like a tank!

 

I'd love to see a new Galvatron get released. Galvatron is one of my all time favorite characters, and I easily skipped his deluxe figure.

 

I'd love to see a Voyager Classic Galvatron, and a Hasbro new release of Ultra Magnus with armor for the Classics line as well.

Hell i'd accept it even if they just re-release a Energon Galvatron.

As for Magnus. If i can get the city commander set then no, if not then yes.

 

No, I rather have a new take on BW TM Megatron and Rhinox instead.

 

I'd like to have an update of both. I never bought Classics Magnus therefore didn't buy the armor and while I like Universe Galvatron I'd never say no to an updated version.  

 

Just to be clear, was not saying anything bad about the third party stuff for classics magnus, just can't see why Hasbro wouldn't have gave us a classics based on the Titanium figure.

With better arms.

And Bigger.

And a wee update: just saw Transformers: Heart of Darkness issue one (didn't buy, waiting for the collected issue), but I no longer have a complaint about the tank mode. Now just wish he was bigger.

My Rodimus laffs at him. lol.  

 

i do want new molds, how ever i want new molds for both in the prime line  

 

At this point I am just waiting for a third party to give us a Voyager Galvatron. I give up waiting with Has-Tak.
