Unless Hasbro is helping so they can eventually air it on the Hub. It would be a smart move and they could call them the "Lost Seasons".

I'd like new dubs, but just including the stardubs for Victory and Masterforce would get me to buy them. I'd really like new subs too. The ones on the UK sets are probably accurate but don't seem as though they were done by someone who really understood Transformers. They can get really distracting.

There have also been some really decent Fan Dubs, lately of the first few episodes, they were done by Dark Heroes Entertainment, Fyerspawn Productions and Adaptations GJ. Hope they can use those.

Pretty sure those subs were done by Chris, who is definitely someone who understands Transformers. I had no issues with the Masterforce subs (the only one I've watched). Granted, I have the Madman releases, but I thought those were exactly the same.

The Headmasters subs, in all fairness, were produced by guys who didn't know Transformers, and worked off of a hit-list of information I gave them. I made corrections, but sadly they didn't make it through. Masterforce and Victory, though, were the work of Jordan L. Derber (Buster Darkwings) of TVNihon, with just a few Anglicisations by me, the quality of his translation really made those sets great (if I may toot our collective horn!). Madman did use exactly the same subs, yeah. I would really hope to see Shout fix up the Headmasters subs, though.

Incidentally, without wanting to beat the horse corpse in the corner too much, to return to the "new dub" idea a moment, and address the comments some people have made about animes being able to be dubbed for straight-to-DVD release - yes, that happens. And when it does, they're released as low-content single discs, and you're charged $25 RRP for like five episodes, or as becoming more common lately for properties that can justify it, $50-60 for two-disc 13 episode sets. That is because dubbing is an expensive process. If you want a new dub, be prepared to pay that for Headmasters - and because it's a 35-episode set, without any money brought in by individual disc releases beforehand to balance it out, you could literally expect to pay something in the vicinity of $150-175 for it - the same price or more as the Matrix of Leadership set, which has just under three times as many episodes, and that's without remastering, and without accounting for the bump any special features may cause. So d'you maybe see why I'm telling you not to expect it?

I was basing my last post on Headmasters which is still the only series I watched. I enjoyed the series, but the sub and dubs were exhausting. So offence intended to the later series you guys worked on.

I'm in total agreement with you. You could read 'em and understand what was going on, but the difference between "He doesn't have the Matrix" and "He doesn't have Matrix" says volumes for the guys that did them.

What happens if Hasbro want to show them on the hub? An extra 100+ episodes featuring characters being released through Generations might be worth some money being thrown at a new dub.

Then you'll still probably pay something close to that. Grabbing a random example of something current, Bleach is dubbed for TV, but it's DVDs still retail at $25 RRP for five episodes, and the combined boxsets, despite the previous DVD releases, still retail at $50 for a dozen episodes.

    What about Beast MAchines?

I already own all of Beast Wars and Beat Machines. The only way I'll get them again is ig the Special Features are better.

$49.99, (probably US price) now that's affordable.

(too bad I'm broke or I'd preorder it...)

If they release Headmasters and the other 2 Japanese series in a boxset like the UK and Australia did, I'd buy that. Not really interested in buying Headmasters by itself. And all 3 of them better have the hilarious dub, damnit.
