Skullcruncher - 1987 Decepticons - TFW2005.COM Some excellent work by boards member HighPrime in here. Skullcruncher is a great toy, and this gallery really brings back a lot of memories for me - Skullcruncher was one of my childhood Transformers, and one of my personal favourites out of the Headmasters set even today.
My first headmaster. I played and played with this guy. I loved his almost Dinobot aesthetic for the transformation, since I didn't have any of the dinobots. Great toy and great proportions. A treasure in my collection, for sure.
Nice! Makes me wish I owned it -- and more importantly, that beautiful SC Robot Heroes toy they cancelled to make me mad
Thank you for posting this, sir. It is a pleasure to give something back to the forum that has provided me with some of the best experiences of any site. Looking forward to submitting more galleries (and with a little more action...) in the future. Enjoy
Amazing gallery. I loved Skullcruncher. Still do. My favorite Headmaster. EDIT: And for Starscream fans, he was voiced by Chris Latta ("The female one, mighty Scorponok! She has the key!")
Nice! Skullcruncher was my first Headmaster and has a permanent place on my G1 Trophy Shelf. Despite the fused legs and the goofy magenta, he's a great toy.
Some great shots!! Nice Work!! I especially like the Friskies shot..nice to know Skullcruncher will eat the Whitefish and Tuna flavor, my Screamer won't touch it!!
I'll bet Friskies loves the free advertising here on 2005. I, too, have my Skullcruncher figure from "back in the day." Sadly, one or both of the headmaster's arms broke off (I don't remember and I'm not going to run into my office to check). I lost the gun, too. But he was played with...and if you believe the "Toy Story" movies, that's what matters. Now...back to homework. RotF Brawn is helping. He's all about copyright policy.
Great photography. Until I eBay something better, this is my Skullcruncher. Sadly he is missing all of his accessories and head, but even in this state, he was one of my favorites as a kid. I got him used with other thrift store stock (which I think included a unbelievably cheap Scorponok, with head, helmet, and orange ramps!). As you can see, his pink arms (but not his fists?) have yellowed slightly. For some reason, Headmasters seemed to be very prone to this, especially the 1988 ones. In this pic, "Brisko" is piloting him. ("Wilder" pilots Fangry.) -- Cybertronian. P.S.: The custom HM piloting a Horri-Bull junker needs a name. Would y'all mind sending me some suggestions?
Funny, I've had Skullcrucher with the rest of the Headmasters since the 80's. Never gave SC a second thought. Nice gallery.
I just wanted to say what an awesome little figure this guys is. And I remember seeing when this gallery was uploaded, I wanted to say how awesome of a gallery this is. I am really looking forward to seeing moar fotos from you HighPrime.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. To be honest, I'm not sure this is one of my better galleries. Always working to improve. If anyone has any tips, or something they'd like to see (or not see) I'm listening.
What other TF can say they have a pilot that rides in its mouth? HighPrime, great work, and I hope we see more G1 galleries
His fist hole isn't exactly 5mm, right? I had to resort to some improvisation for him to be able to use PCC Minicons since my Skullcruncher didn't have a gun.... I love the gallery especially the part where the box is also shown!
Thanks alot When I was but a wee lad, I never owned Skullcruncher. My cousin owned him, though, so I got some playtime out of it Wasn't until last year that I finally picked one up (along with Weirdwolf).
