OK, I have decided I wanna do people a favour. You can send in your HFTD Bumblebee's and get them modded my moi. Tell me which mods you desire. If interested, PM me and we'll organize something. I'm not too good at cutting plastic cleanly, but I try. Before anything, yes he can still transform!!! This is my HFTD Battle-Blade Bumblebee with about 6 mods so far. I'm not using any other Bumblebees, figures or any foreign parts. No ball joints, extra hinges, etc. Can't afford it. All but one mods are based on fellow Radicon Savio-Prime's ideas. I did the hood panel, the shoulder doors, shoulderblade bit relocation, split headlights and the foot mod. My mod is on the thigh panel. What you do is cut off a bit on the end and re-attach it on the side of the shin. More movie-accurate, ya know? There's an elaboration picture down there. All only with one Bumblebee. UPDATE This has been painted FINALLAH!!! Vehicle mode is a-comin' soon! In the third and fourth pic, we see the majority of the mods, including a heavy chest mod, reattatching of those bits above the wheels onto the chest/front, partial relocation of the hood onto neck panel and cutting and moving inward of door panels. Best part is: it still transforms!!! Here we see the interior of the doors. Now, this mod I invented. You cut off the end of the thigh panel and reattach it on the side of the knee. more movie-accurate and works in transformation. Now, this is a problem, here. I reattached the arm-guard tips to where they belong, but now there's a huge gap between the arm and the cannon! I know it looks dumb, but I can't fill it without having to partsform, and I hate that! HELP! SUGGESTIONS!!! New mod soon, just you wait!
The hood chest looks really epic now that it's been cut up into small pieces. Way more accurate to the movie. I can't really comment on the other mods mainly because I can't see them, though. Still, I'm of the opinion this guy, when you paint him, you should keep his hood the same style as it is. I see lots of cuts and scars on the edges of seam line, which I'm guessing is from when you cut the hood apart, and they actually look pretty good. Bring them out with a nice wash and BB will look great!
Lick of good yellow paint, then do the stripes, and finally do a gray wash to bring out the many scars left in the plastic. A bit of dry brushing never hurt either. But most importantly, do it until it looks good to you.
Nice! I'd be interested in trying out some of those mods. Could you post a small tutorial? And maybe car mode pics?
Well, I could show some images, but if you want proper mods, see this guy's posts. Check every page! You could miss out! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/313496-double-blaster-bumblebee.html
