Didn't one of the radicons here break apart a G1 Magnus trailer and connected it to a classics Ultra Magnus figure, it looked good. Surely one of these radicons can take this and make it spectacular with a little work. Obvioulsly they would have to remold a new head.

 

Alright, I'm sure a lot of effort went in to it. But, lets be honest. The plastic looks cheap. The head looks terrible. There is no reason to make the head fit over the existing one. The Autobot symbols looks awful. And this is going for $150? I really hope I - Gear can do better.

already got this 1 year ago....for time being too bezee to do more.....just swap the head n change the gun...the fist just use from MP2 itself...not bad at all

Just change the head

took this on a friend's facebook. sems he's a radicon himself.accrding to him he got this set a year ago and look what he modified...just change the head and it completely refreshing...

 

the head transformation for mp magnus/prime makes it impossible to just leave it folded in, since the matrix holder and bumper have to go in that space. but switching the heads completely works better, as seen in wan's photo

 

The box is good done though.

There's no nice way to say it...this looks bad. It's not entirely their fault, given that MP-02 just wasn't made to accommodate G1 UM armor.

It looks ok cause he spaced the parts out in a way that the proportions look good.

 

What head is that from?

 

I wanted to like this, I really did. But the comments about it looking like a toddler in a halloween costume nailed it.

 

wan, I think you did a really good job with this. I think it's proof that this thing with its flaws can still have its merit  

This version still has the top spot in my book.

I still think some kind of transform or modification can be done to where the head of Magnus doesn't have to be the head of Ultra Magnus, wearing it like a helmet. That's the main thing that attributes to the big head. Also, after having the bigger head, the rest of Ultra Magnus looks out of proportion. I was always totally cool with Ultra Magnus being rather large, even if it's not "cartoon accurate".
