I like how the paint job on the side of the alt mode looks a lot like his G1 self. Looks okay otherwise

So the altmode looks like, well it looks like something vaguely vehicular which is a good start and I'm impressed by the way they got those wings to almost completely disappear into the vtol fans but it's still a pretty horrible looking toy overall.

If they release it completely in black with some nicely painted details then I might like it enough to buy one.

i have one on the way and plan to do a pic review.

i collect anything and everything soundwave related and minion wise.

its also hard to put a personality to the figure as well as we saw a mere snippet from the movie and image from the game. the design and functionality on the screen might be cool but from the toy maybe not so much?

i will reserve more judgement once i have it.

 

Laserbeak was intended to be a condor in G1.

If anything, their mistake may have been making Movie Laserbeak look like a condor. Condors are not the most elegant birds, at least on the ground.

I think I'll buy him he looks cool imo and he's just a drone anyways there's no point in putting so much attention too detail in a figure that kids won't buy because it's not humanoid enough.

 

I think Scorponok was better than this. And he had that Japanese movie monster mode.

 

Yeah, this is just terrible. They could have used those resources to make the other toys better.
