I think the devil is in the details. There's more reliance on coloured plastic, because there seems to be more in the way of highlights and areas with added paint.

Also, it might be some of the paint apps have gone on the Mechtech weapons. Ironhide's has some gold that is only visible when you press the button to activate it.

 

BUMBLEBEE has spent decades perfecting his fighting skills. With or without weapons, he is one of the most skilled fighters the AUTOBOTS have. He is dedicated to using his skills to defeat the DECEPTICONS*, no matter where they appear.

Guess he won't mind if you take that mechtech gun for another to power up with. Bumblebee is melee capable.

Well... in looking over the newest bots, it's odd that they show Bumblebee in stock but not the other 3.  

Also...noticed this one...Now maybe I missed this in TFW News. but WOW!!...also think this is replacing the larger non-transforming Mega Bots..

also, these pix further seal my opinion that MechTech looks real bad. Not one picture there doesn't just look ridiculous to me with the oversized weaapons.

 

I agree somewhat. BB and Ratchet both look awful. But others, like Megatron or Crankcase, look pretty darn good with the MechTech weapons IMO.

 

ironhide's the only one I'll buy.

 

Megatron, yes, cuz it's integrated in both modes (and Sentinal Prime 'cuz the shield is A W E S O M E ) ~ Cranckcase looks jsut as silly as the rest of the deluxes to me with an oversized gun strapped to a car or an oversized gun strapped to his forearm (he doesn't even get to hold it, just pretend too!  )

 

I like the way it looks on Crankcase's alt mode; it reminds me of Energon Longarm, and I've always had an inexplicable attachment to that figure.

 

I like Kmart as a store here. People don't buy that much there so I've been getting the RtS guys there and I find a few old things I missed.

 

Those "bewbs" fold into the chest cavity and end up right where they should be. Like in the movie. They're not all the way in his chest like the previous Ironhides. You can't even see the tires on those.

 

do you mean Landmine? He's my favorite Autobot Energon figure by a wide margin. Always thought he was an overlooked gem, him and Quickstrike.

 

That's probably because most people are embarrassed to shop there.
I shop at Target (other than for Legos, I go to the Mall of America for those), mostly because that's all there is here, and for a while, all there was. I didn't know know Wal*Mart existed until I was 10. It's scary.

 

I wouldn't mind getting that new Ratchet but I just don't like the new paint scheme.

 

If it were not for that giant arse cannon on Ironhide I would be picking him up. The Leader looks to have too much arm kibble and didn't seem to get the bottom wheels right.

Maybe I can snag a few of his weapons from a previous Ironhide and he'd be perfect.

 

yes, everyone has their own OPINIONS and words on these photos. But lets all be thankfull that we have Transformers Dreamers always creating and making this figures for us to collect and mumble about.

Does that mean Hasbro may have started shippig DOTM toys to retailers? Awesome! Time to sit back, relax, crack open a beer, and wait for the inevitable 1387 new threads bitching about stores putting DOTM toys on shelves before the release date and how people were told they couldn't buy them!
