You can see the hammer by looking at the BBTS preorders for this set. Mind you, TFSource have the cheapest preorders right now for it. I have the 2 sets in hand as well from a tfw group buy. They are really quite neat. I am considering getting 2 more sets. The translucent colors... you can consider them energy swords or something. Now even Metroplex can have some uber weapons.

Great review. I preordered the blue set just for the fists, but the weapons look great too. Thanks for posting this.

I don't have Predaking, so I never looked twice at this set -until now.
It looks like there are a lot of cool weapons for various figures.

I hadn't considered that before as the materials I saw only showed the Predacons.

Plus it's not from Crazy Devy so the price isn't laughably high.
    I might get it.

And, a small critique -I didn't have 20 minutes to sit through the video, but I did skip until I saw something interesting.
You might want to edit out some footage next time.

Thank you for the review. :thumb

The review was a little bit long but there was a lot to cover so I guess it's forgiveable.

I haven't had a chance to open my sets yet but if all the blades are used for smaller figs is there a good use for the gray staff pieces? Sorry if you covered that in the video.

If you used all the blades to smaller figures, attach the stick together for a staff. If that is not enough, attach the 2 fists at the end to make a hammer. If you open the fist and fiddle with it, you can make it a scythe, a mace, etc.

here you go i love the set but will swap out the tfc canons for crazydevy
to get better looks at pic if you dont already know if you click the pic it gets bigger, double click the bigger pic and it will be given its on tab then you can use the "change zoom" option in the bottom right hand corner of your screen to really get in super close, for those who dont already know

also, everytime i see pics of this kit, it seems to remind me of how cloud pieces together his buster sword in FFVII, especially Advent Children

thanks; that's just the spare pieces of the two blades :p  I am going to find something big enough to dual wield the actual blades, but this upgrade for optimus, I think, looks kinda nifty; its not "heavy" enough to hinder his mobility

Damn you! When I first saw these up for pre-order, I was curious and tempted, but since the only pics I'd seen of it was with Predaking, I decided I didn't have to care, as I don't have Predaking.

But now I've seen great usage of the set with figures I do have, I want both the red and the blue set.

Honestly aside from the way they marketed it I see nothing about this set that would require or even be desirable for predaking. That being said I don't have predaking & after watching the review I'm picking up this set. Seems like a nice weapon set that could be used with a wide variety of figures. Especially with the choice between blue & red. Really if they had colored it to fit with predaking exclusively they would have limited it's versatility & shrunk their possible market to only people who own predaking.

Mine finally arrived today (graduation present 1 of 3!) and I'm extremely pleased with it.

These sets are the second coming of Energon weapons. Everything fits together really well. Furthermore, a lot of the posts act as Minicon pegs, so you can really use your Energon weapons with them. I've already added a bunch of Combaticon weapons into my blue set.

I really love that the hands do what I expected--they can plug into the folded-down hands of Classics Optimus and become huge graspers. I can also get all of the weapons onto my DIA Commander, so it can match my crazy over-weaponed Protector.

For the price, you get a lot of playability. I wouldn't recommend this for display-only; once you have it in your hands, it's very hard not to swap stuff around and make all sorts of new weapons.
