    DJW art for head? WIN

    Sculpt for head? FAIL

    Bleah, I of course will get him as I am a sucker for animated, but the head is surprising after seeing DJW's art for it.

    xZAOx, i think they're trying to say that the same mold (armada wheeljack) was used as a Botcon exclusive... but even then, the SG Sideswipe was still vastly under produced compared to Armada Wheeljack... so of course SG Sideswipe would end up costing 60ish, while Armada Wheeljack retail was 10... really, i'm not sure how it relates to what you said though.

    okay, i see how people are saying the fandom has gotten far more picky, which i can see. and yes, this toy, if it had been released at Target, Walmart, et all would have only been 10 bucks. But since its an exclusive, its 60ish. therefore, some people are possibly unhappy with paying $60 bucks for what they feel is a bit inferior to what they wanted. that's understandable. everyone has their own opinions and is welcome to express them. and ultimately, if this figure ends up like Airazor and Astrotrain, the club will be sitting on them for quite some time. but i don't think that'll happen. Lots of people seem to still love this toy, myself included.

    Yeah, exactly. I know it was repainted into a BotCon toy, but what that has to do with anything is beyond me. I think people just like to be argumentative since it's the internet, regardless if their arguments have any bearing on the conversation.

    Point being, we're a picky bunch. We're posting on a nerd forum about nerd crap that noone in the world really cares about. We don't have new topics to talk about all the time, so we overanalyze the ones we do have. Plus, while we're picky on our $10 toys, we're even more picky on our $60 ones.

    That doesn't mean that things like his fish eyes make it OMIGOD RUNED 4EVARZ, but it's a disappointment when we know some small tweaks would've made it a lot better.

    yeah i'm with you. I don't see anything wrong with his face, but if you do, that's your opinion. but it doesn't mean the end of the world either...

    and i know i'm picky on my $10 toys. if i can see paint scratches or mess ups through the bubble, i'll pass and wait for another one.

    back on topic, i'm loving these tweets from Botcon... Cheetor is now even more hilarious in my book. before, i had to have him. now, i REALLY have to have him.

    What a boring world it would be if we all liked the same stuff. With that said, I think they kind of messed up the eyes and the forehead.

    agreed. everything would be bland and boring. I'm glad there's open discussion and different opinions about the toys. while you and xZAOx dislike the head, i love it, but it doesn't make me think you guy are weirdos or nothing.


    even though you obviously are :thumb 

    and now that we've got Cheetor, i'm wondering what other Animated molds could be turned into Beast Wars characters.

    i agree... Sentinal as Primal could totally work...

    and Rhinox from Bulkhead just seems easy as well.

    and they totaly need to do waspinator from...err waspinator :p 


    Jes kidding animated prebeastwars bots would be cool.

    Heck ANYTHING that gives us more animated is cool!

    (This head is still pretty awful though)
