Venks, I'm digging the new head design for Red Alert. I never saw the resemblance to Cliff but thought the head looked a little wide. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I remember you mentioning that you wanted to give him light piping or will the eyes be painted?
After following this for a while, I would like to be put on the list. The price initially was pretty high, but after breaking out my 3 lambo brothers... RA needs a new noggin, and new shoulder rifles for him and Sideswipe will be great. So please put me down on a list for both RA kit, and Sideswipe cannon/gun. Also, for what its worth I think the 'ears' would look a little better slightly shorter/stubbier. I think it makes him look "kiddish" with them pointy and longer. I like the maturer image shown, with more defined flats on the ends.
Did a test casting of the new shoulder and gun designs. The gun and shoulder rocket need to be fixed up. The hand gun is now bulkier, but the same length as the prototype. I think it looks good, and makes sense for RA, since he is the head of the Autobot security. Plus, he never knows who is out to get him. The plan is for light piped eyes. And then, depending how much extra work, I'd do a pair that is painted. Added you to the list. I really hate that head design from that artwork. I actually did my best not to recreate it. Since all my projects start off, as personal projects, I want to make something I'm happy with. If I try to please others, there will always be people not happy, and also the chance that I end up releasing something I'm not happy with. At that point, its not even worth doing then. Also, the final cost will be going up a couple dollars. When I begin taking regular orders, I'll announce it then.
Man, my head is spinning from all the different threads and pages and links. I'd like to get on the Red Alert list, but I'm not sure of the head/rocket variations, the price, etc.
I've decided I'm only making enough Red Alert kits for those that preorders, plus those on the waiting list, for the first batch. So thats about 120 kits... Final parts look great. Put me down if I am not already. (red/white Kit) Hopefully someone will drop out of the first batch and I can get in that one. Thanks Also, I will be purchasing the Rockblast kit (weapon for DL blaster) at the same time. So maybe put one of those aside if they are looking like they might be gone.
