For a DOTM figure he looks ok I guess, but still a pass for me.

Can this guy stand up straight? Every single picture I've seen so far shows him in some crooked bent legged pose. Kinda annoying when he's next to NEST Ratchet and you can't figure out the relative height.

Colours seem gaudier than the NEST version, but it's probably more screen accurate that way. In some ways I think the NEST version still comes out better, despite the hip kibble and fudged altmode.

... on the plus side, this might be the first Ratchet figure to actually have the rear windows.

It's a cheap looking toy, so no for me. And what's with those bent knees?

    Not a bad looking figure.

Looks good. Not too much kibble like Movie 1 Ratchet, and not too skinny like NEST Ratchet. Don't see myself picking it up though.

Looks leagues ahead than the other Ratchet figures, but from the waist down he looks like a solid chunk of green plastic. I wish his wheels would fold down as well.

Probably going to get him, he does seem like a very cool figure and his mechtech gimmic is awesome. I'll probably do some custom painting myself.

Will definitely be getting this Ratchet. Looks great in both modes, and seems to have a decent amount of articulation. I just wish he was a little bit taller, or at the very least have him end up the same height as the new Bee figure. Oddley enough, this is one of the few movie figures I think that, with a few mods here and there, could work decently well as a Classics figure.

Should be interesting to see how they choose to repaint this figure. The standard white & red deco will probably happen eventually.

The new version looks nicer even if the older one was more uniform. It's normal for fans to be resistive to change. This is a nice one.

I dunno about that. If you look at the CG character model, Ratchet is supposed to be skinny. I didn't think the NEST version was too far off in that respect.

Can that mech-tech saw fit into the claw-weapon's port on the arm of m1 Ratchet?

This is the best Ratchet mold ever. I would buy it, I like it :)

    Good Point - let's compare...

    vs

It seems to depend on what you care about - the RotF mold gets a lot of things right, but then it has a tab behind the head & that hip kibble.
The DotM mold doesn't have that issue - but the bot mode isn't as lean & clean...

I'd personally say they're a close tie - but with the kibble-free transformation of the DotM version, I'm gonna try to pick this one up as well.
Then, my challenge will be to try to match or beat the bot mode with the RofF mold....

Wow that looks really good! Been a fan of movie Ratchet molds(mainline). Will pick this up, seems like the returning characters in the toyline have better figures this time around.

Aww damn it, he's fantastic! I already have a Ratchet though, and I really can't afford to buy more of one character!

I can imagine that Ratchet's knees do bend all the way, that they're just like that to show off the poseability or something. I'd imagine that this Ratchet is about a few centimeters smaller than RotF Ratchet.

I prefer this new color scheme and the vehicle mode, saw weapon, and lack of hip kibble are improvements over the RotF one, but his feet look kinda crummy and I wish those wheels could fold back at least a little.

The thing that sells me on this over the NEST version is that the Alt-mode is SOLID. The NEST version had a lot of robot kibble issues. This one seems to have fixed that problem.

I might pick this guy up. I donno yet. Maybe I'll wait for the red and white redeco.

I actually like the figure a little more than I thought I would, but I'm still passing on him. I have two Ratchets right now, and I'm content with the number since while I like him, he's not a favorite.
