I'm hoping there's a typo in the part about the Beast Wars set, because they're not going to have much room for special features (or even full-sized video) if they try to squeeze 13 episodes on a disc!

In for Headmaster regardless of dub/sub/transfer.

I freely admit that I will blindly support legit US releases of Japanese TF properties.

    Go Shout!

I agree. I would buy it regardless, but no matter how bad the dub is, and considering that I really have no way of knowing how "good" the original language is (nor do many people here, despite them claiming that the dubs would suck), I would rather sit back and enjoy it, rather than read. It's not like I'm watching an art flick or anything.

This makes a DVD series of RID a greater possibility. Release that (and Animated Season 3) and I will be even happier than I am with this news! Hope amazon has a PO for the Headmasters Series soon.

No, it really doesn't. Disney still owns RID.

I'm so game for Beast Wars. Headmasters, not so much, unless the dub is really good.

I might buy Beast Wars, just to support Shout's TF releases in general (got the Rhino versions), but Headmasters is a 100% definite buy!

    Awesome news!

"Later this year, we’ll release two 4-disc sets: Transformers Beast Wars and Transformers Takara Collection: Headmasters. and complete series collections."

so about the complete series collections... a beast wars complete series isnt really that huge (52 episodes) but what does that mean for headmasters? is it a headmasters alone complete series set? or is it an entire japanese series set? aren't those series all around 40 episodes each? that's a bit larger than the g1 "matrix set" at 98 episodes and that thing is what 16 discs?

This is great news! I missed out on the Rhino Beast Wars DVDs, so it's nice to get another chance to purchase them (and knowing Shout!, the new releases will be better than the Rhino sets). It's also nice to finally get Headmasters in the U.S.

Rhino may have messed up on the G1 Box sets, but the Beast Wars sets have none of their ‘enhancements’ so I’m satisfied with them and won’t be repurchasing.
However, I am definitely keeping my eye on Headmasters.

You know, just last week you could have had giant red text warning everyone to give up on the Headmasters DVDs coming over here at all.
I don’t see why thinking there can be an English language track attached to it is a pipe dream.
If obscure high school drama anime can get an English language track, then I would think that a huge franchise like Transformers has at least got a possibility of getting one.
