I just received Takara Transformer HYBRID OPTIMUS PRIME Convoy THS-02 from UPS today and so far I love this thing! It's almost an exact replica of MP04 Prime but in miniature! Has some weight in it too for it's small size! Most outstanding! Pic's coming soon in appropriate thread.

So my question to those that have it, what should I look out for in terms of weakness? My friend said the legs broke easily on his for some reason. So, I want to know what to look for and what to look out for when transforming this to truck mode. Chances are, he'll stay in robot mode since the pics of him in truck mode make him look ugly.
But in robot mode, he look's freaking bad-ass! Especially when armed with his jet-pack and rifle.

Watch out for that little panel on his back. It stress-marks really easy and may even break if you're too rough.

Such an awesome figure. I wish they'd have made Megatron, too.

I wonder why they only made Prime and not Megatron. Megatron would've been an awesome counterpart.
Since this is 02, was there an 01 and what was it?

Great figure. My only issue was with his arm panels that rotate to cover his fists. They don't break, but they aren't that secure.

Thanks, I've got him mostly transformed into truck mode. Only thing I can't figure out is his legs. The instructions booklet shows them shortened, but mine are still long from being in robot mode. I hate how it look's like this and I wonder what the trick is to collapse and shorten the legs for truck mode?

Okay, I figured out his leg thing but DAMN! These are fucking tight as hell! I'm afraid to break this figure! I think this will be another one that just stay's in robot mode. But at least he's got a bitch'n robot mode with lot's of articulation and accessories.

The only thing that bothers me is the small size of the accessories...I lost his blaster:cry  other than that, i love him..

I really like mine too. Your tires will split in time, but other than that I can't think of any issues with it.

I LOVE the overall design of the figure, hell, the robot mode is, to me, the IDEAL G1 Optimus Prime look. I've been hoping for a LONG time that Hasbro might revisit some of the engineering and designs and give us a nifty mega-size Optimus Prime and trailer toy.

definitely one of my favorite figures, it gets it's own shelf in the curio cabinet in my collection, haven't lost anything, but can't get the other fists back out of the little boxes in the trailer
one thing to be careful of is the bumper when transforming it, it bends and will peel the chrome off it, what is this leg thing you speak of? pics please

I agree, it's a really fun little toy. Truck mode is awful but all the accessories and the poseability of the robot mode makes up for it.

THS-02 is on my personal list of top 10 favorite transformers. This guy is just awesome. I will echo the caution on the wrist pieces that flip up/down. That was the only part I had issues with. They just pop off but I fear that the next time will be the last as the little nubbins aren't too durable.

I like it too except for the front panels that must peg above the wheels. They are really annoying to peg in for truck mode.

+1. He really is a great little figure. The black version is especially nice as well. I had a great pic of the two of them somewhere but I can't seem to find it.

I have always wanted to get both versions of the figure to use the extra heads that came with the black version on the standard version to make a comic accurate G2 Prime. Anyone have any pics of how this would look?

Sorry no pics but I did succeed with transforming it fully into truck mode. Legs were very tight when collapsing them. He is now back in robot mode standing on top of MP04's trailer.
I'll get pics and post him in my collection thread later today.

I love miniatures, and he is awesome! I just wish his truck mode was better detailed, but it is what it is and I still love it!
