^ To sell to kids who want a bigger Starscream.

Why does any collector think that Hasbro has some nefarious plan to sell them pointless repaints? It's not as if they are trying to trick you or something.

Also, Target had to want this. They don't just pick up these exclusives by accident.

 

actually, there's a repaint of this figure that was just on the shelves at walmart. but i agree, this isn't the '07 voyager prime mold, or the '07 voyager ratchet mold. this figure makes four different versions. original, kmart, walmart, and now target.

why is that surprising? he retains them in the movie, plus, they give hasbro a reason to jazz the figure up. the kmart one was cool looking because of the shiny green markings, and this one looks pretty cool with the silver markings, i bet they'll look great together in F22 mode. too bad i didn't pick up the kmart version, i wasn't about to pay the inflated kmart exclusive price for a repaint.

 

easy.. just get a paper towel and some testors paint thinner.

Target probably wanted an exclusive, and this is what Hasbro came up with that fit what they wanted.

The solid plastic instead of translucent plastic on this repaint really makes me think that the Voyager Ratchet repaint will be a similar exclusive. Probably with a similar comic book.

 

I'm still not sure whether the red plastic is not translucent at all. Here's hoping it is.

Maybe SS popped a salazar ?   ROS readers should know....

Anyway, there's no target here in EU. I guess I'll be forced to pick this one up from ebay....or Kapow, if they get it.

 

Walmart never had an exclusive of this mold. They had skywarp and ramjet versions of '07 scream. I go to walmart almost 3 times a week to a local walmart that's stocked every exclusive yet from hasbro.

 

Looks pretty solid to me, but if it turns out to be translucent, I'll gladly eat my words. Would prefer translucent plastic anyways, just don't want to get hopefully for it, just for it to turn out it really is solid plastic.

In fact, my local Walmart still has this and the Ironhide vs. Bonecrusher 2-pack.

 

Never knew this was a repaint. looked the same as the regular voyager ROTF screamer to me.
