I said it before, but I'm not jumping on the "dead characters" bandwagon. Even if WJ is just a semi regular, I'll be happy. I don't need, or want, a dozen characters on screen at once. I prefer the idea of certain characters being the focus each episode and getting equal developement over time. The idea of WJ being the go-to guy in his workshop appeals to me.
This episode is going to rock. I hope wheeljack survive. For the guy who said I hope wheeljack revives cliffjumper its not going to happen, but I would be great if it did
Chances are we'll get two clips of the episode in the next two days before the episode premieres on Friday.
Looks like Prime Wheeljack is gonna be more of a warrior than his G1 namesake. Hope he still has some technical expertise and engineering skills tho'. His voice sounds like it's gonna be deeper and more 'manly' too. Also liked Starscream's screechy "Destroy him!". The 'cons sure seem to like electrocuting their prisoners don't they? But you can't kill him if he's already dead!
Sorry I already beat you to that joke. On topic, I really hope Wheeljack doesn't die. Maybe he can survive and make his own little hideout and appear once every few episodes. I dunno, something, just don't let him die...
That's basically what G1 was. You had a core group each episode with Prime and BB almost always being the main two. As for Animated, no, it didn't work, at least not for me. I hated that show in that the Decepticons were never a focused group, you'd get one new guy and he'd go away for a while. There were effing human bad guys, really? I mean WTF were Lugnut and Blitzwing doing, just flying around goofing off? This show can function with 5, 6, 7 or even 10 Autobots in that base. Not all of them have to be used every single episode. But at the same time forcing yourself (the writers) to use these five is going to get old. Why would it have to be WJ who goes off to do something? Why can't Bulkhead be off screen for a couple episodes? Or Arcee, Prime, BB or Ratchet?
Looking back yeah, I see what people mean by the "trend" with Skyquake (my apologies I hadn't even realised the episode had aired let alone the Scraplets! XD). Still I never grew to Skyquake in the entire episode. I was like "HOLY CRAP THATS A FRIGGIN CHAINGUN" but that was for the weapon not Skyquake. With Cliff I instantly connected with him as a character. So yeah, if Wheeljack does end up blowing it then really it's down to how his character is portrayed on how I would feel about it.
Animated Cyclonus was only on screen for a matter of seconds, this episode will focus quite heavily on Wheeljack. Giving it more opportunity to have a toy. Hell, Wheeljack might even survive the episode!
Prime toys will hit in August? Gen Wheeljack will have been off the shelves for a while, there's a chance of a toy but I'm not holding my breath.
I saw that one too. At the end, Ratchet groans and face palms. Makes me wonder if the relationship between Ratchet and Wheeljack is 180 degrees opposite from their G1 counterparts?
