i'm still feeling that some of the tiniest of improvements could have made these 100X better (mostly letting them have pull-out shoulders to improve articulation ~ it looks like the bulldozer has zero forward arm articulation)

The cop car especially i'm almost shocked was approved ~ his bot mode looks more like a car accident then a robot.

The vehicles still mostly look great, the helicopter, Prime and Firetruck all have decent bot modes. (Bumblebee's car mode is actually really cool)

They're toys for what, 3 year olds and people are complaining?

They appear to actually transform, and they'll encourage more kids to become fans and move onto the better figures later on. God forbid a toy company releases a line of toys meant for children

dude, don't blow it out of proportion ~ all i was saying is i think the 3-year-old might find them more fun if the arms could actually move forward. (even Jumpstarters could do that :p )

I still think they're pretty neat and a cool concept and will at least get Prime and the Blades for my kid ~ just that minor tweaks could greatly improve the execution.

I wasn't referring to just your post about articulation. There's a lot of griping going on here and there. It seems that some of us toy obsessed adults on occasion forget that toys are sometimes designed for little kids in mind.

I'm inclined to agree here, articulation = breakage it seems, at least with my son it is :p
    Thanks Shin!

Ahh but breakage + replacement = more sales!

Well, from what I recall as a kid it was always the joints that wore out first. More joints = more things to wear out. And considering that most of g1 were bricks, I was perfectly satisfied with 'em and stuck with the franchise for 25 years. I've also never seen a 3-5 year old critique a toy for not having bendable elbows or knees.

Simpler designs = lower manufacturing cost = lower retail pricepoint = more toys ending up in the hands of children to get them addicted to plastic crack = more adults later on spending $200 a pop on masterpiece figures.

I must have the little Prime! It's adorable. My pitiful allowance will suffer greatly for all the new stuff being released.
