Anyone else itching for this? For those not paying attention, its a new ongoing starting in a few months that is set 150ish ABY and is about a rougth-around-the-edges Skywalker decendent. Granted the main character sounds about as hackneyed as they come, but the potential of the setting and what sounds like the return of pre-Russan style Sith is all kinds of cool. Plus its good to see Dark Horse carving out its own territory again after 7 or 8 years of having to shill the pathetic new films, I can only hope that something similar will happen at Lucasarts soon.
Very much so. I picked up the new "Knights of the Old Republic" last week and was very pleased to finally see a good series getting back to that time period as well.
Mixed reaction then. Its almost all good from Dark Horse this year as far as I am concerned, what with them getting away from the movies with the ongoings and replacing all the small individual TPBs of thier classics with the new fat Ominbus editions. The only downside is yet more rebellion era stuff, but I won't complain about it since they obviously need some movie-related product to sell to all the casuals and crying fanboys.
300ish page TPBs reprinting their earlier series like XWRS and TOTJ, which are replacing the current 100-150 page volumes and picking up some other odds and ends that havent been reprinted along the way.
i'm very excited for this - the Ostrander/Duuresma Clone Wars stories were pure gold, and it'll be nice to see them REALLY have the opportunity to cut loose with minimal restraints. plus i see the lineage of this character being really interesting, as it's implied in the interview they did on Newsarama that he's not waht you expect...
