Those are Impossible Toys' Quints.

They're injection molded, and professionally painted. Pretty good quality for the type of product they are (ie, unlicensed product, with limited articulation).

Last month I uploaded on my blog some pics ... the text is in spanish, but the pics are universal.

Guys - thanks once again for the replies. What about the plastic quality? Does the plastic of the Hasbro Grimlock look and feel the same as TakaraTomy's?

airfox - thank you! I will check the Quints out! I don't buy 3rd party stuff but I must admit I am really interested in them now!  

 

I have both. The plastic quality feels identical, and in fact, so does the CHROME, which surprised me. Both are very durable. My Hasbro Grimlock's joints are a little looser, but as a tradeoff, his paint apps are superior. Also, Hasbro's Grimlock replaces the screws in the tail that could abrade the chrome on the tailtip with flat headed pins, removing the issue entirely.

So, really, there's no much of a downside to Hasbro's Grimlock.

 

Really appreciate the reply! I have 2 Grimlocks (but both are Takara versions and in storage) my home in my country but I'm so tempted to pick him up because of the crown! I grew up on the G1 Marvel comics! X)
