You do realize that the lighting and shadows are part of the visuals as well, right...? They're part of what makes the game look so great. That's like saying "Oh, that game's graphics aren't so good, if you take off the textures".

And of course the models had low polygon counts, they're boxy G1-style robots. Not that many polygons are required.

It looked like a PS2 game? Are you on drugs?

With Stealth Force in this game, does that mean the gameplay will be similar to WFC. Able to attack in both modes? I'd be happy if that's the case. No hover mode for the Earth vehicles though but if it plays like a 3rd person shooter in robot mode, Twisted Metal in vehicle mode and an Fighter Sim in aircraft mode, I'll be happy.

You'd need to have epic math skills to actually be able to get the extra grapic fidelity out of a PS3 that it's theoretically capable of. The architecture is so complex and it's so hard to programme that I think most people in the know don't expect even close to it's full power being utilised until it's nearly obsolete. The performance analysers SONY tend to do usually help but still even taking into account what it should be able to do it's not like developers are tripping al over themselves to use the extra power.

So far the only appreciable difference I've seen for the better is sometimes PS3 cut scenes are slightly higher res. but that is probably as much to do with the extra spare Bluray disc space as to he console itself.

I think speed and other tests performed to compare the PS3 to the Xbox 360 have concluded the realistic difference between the two is like 3% or something along those lines.

So personally I'd rather have fun playing Gears of War games and deal with a 3% loose in power if the advantages are a more comfortable game pad, quicker load times, cheaper and more easily obtainable games, better online play, No annoying shoehorned in motion controls, Vibration function on more games and all the other advantages over PS3.
Sure I'd buy a PS3 sometime but I'd rather have one with a tiny hard drive then add my own bigger one later rather than get charged double the going rate by Sony for a hard drive larger than I want but smaller than I need.

If I did have a PS3 It would probably just end up being used as a DVR & BluRay player 90% of the time anyway.

So No I don't think the graphics looking a bit pants is because they are showing off the xbox version... as there's likely no appreciable difference between the two anyway.
