It looks like the star destroyer has electronics in the thrusters and Darth Vader has a light up hand so the lightsaber can actually glow like MP Grimlock.

The top kibble bits are huge! And people were complaining about Ultimate Optimus Prime's wings! :D

He looks interesting, I would love to see more pictures, especially that of the other modes.

Darth's robot mode looks disappointing but I'm willing to overlook it if his vehicle mode looks good enough. Is he the quad-changer and if so what else is he supposed to change into other than a Star Destroyer?

Come to think of it, the Death Star Vader had fairly huge back kibble as well but at least he still looks good despite that.

    ^ A Republic Star Destroyer.

I would be extremely impressed if both those ships are lurking in there, let alone an Anakin.

There could be a whole factory's worth of clones lurking in that back kibble.

The Quad-changer is as good as bought for two reasons:

    1. It's a quad-changer.
    2. One of the modes is an Imperial Star Destroyer.

No, an Attack Cruiser. The Old Republic never owned any Star Destroyers.

My guess is the Anakin part will be a head-flip and a lot of parts-shifting or flipping similar to Animated Shockwave/Longarm.

Considering there are three other modes I can accept a bit of goofiness in this mode - but I'll need to see the others.

Doesn't look so hot actually. Somebody told us of this figure being in existence a while back, and supposedly, it was awesome..but I just don't see it at all.

...and i continue to be amazed that the generally awful looking (to me anyways) SW/TF Crossovers line not only continues to sell, but does it well enough to justify a 2nd Supreme-class-analog figure.

Is it the SW fans that buy these? The Kids? They seem rather frowned upon (generally) by the TF fandom....

The in-universe name for that craft is the Venator-class Star Destroyer.

(You're talking to a former Star Wars geek/nut who more or less specialized in ship classes.)

It's also referred to in the script as a Star Destroyer, albeit only in the final scene (the white version of the same craft).

As a matter of fact, there is some evidence that Star Destroyer is a generic term for a general weight and class of starship rather than some sort of Imperial trademark. George Lucas referred to Grievous' starship as a Star Destroyer in at least one interview.

I think it's more that they can successfully sell to a fraction of each of those, uh, factions you listed.

The Star Wars fandom could chew us up and spit us out. Statistically speaking, that has to be a big chunk.

I'm no longer following Star Wars as much, but I imagine that if my SW and TF interests were closer to equal I would go for these. Especially if concept > engineering for me (which in many ways it is).

As far as the "supremes," I'm pretty sure that as far as recognition (which translates into random buys and birthday presents to casual fans) Darth Vader beats the stuffing out of Optimus Prime and takes his lunch money.

If I can afford it and find room for it, this will be my first SWTF. Probably my last too, as who needs anything else? :D

that's the thing for me ~ I generally like SW (although don't really collect, maybe just get the occasional thing that's super rad) and really like TFs, and they can't sell me on these (mostly because of the poor bot modes ~ see also most of the Marvel Crossovers, although I've been tempted by a couple of those). I should be a total mark for these, but they're just so goody/ugly/bad looking (to me)

(not to mention the early ones had lots of bad rep for poor QC/plastic quality, not sure if that has improved or not + the endless re-releases of the same few characters)

I'm going to go ahead and proclaim this figure to be be last SWTF that I ever buy. I was waiting for this guy and I will absolutely be picking it up.
