Thanks for all the coverage. I am GEEKING out for the new Starscream Skystriker cross-over. It's like a dream come true.

 

The legends toy gets around it be actually not having a hood like Topspin doesn't. Presumably Leadfoot's deluxe will do something similar.

I think Selth Force and the HA basics are as close to bringing back MASK as you'll ever see.

 

Unless the HA Wrecker has deployable weapons and a driver with a helmet.  

 

I'm a little disappointed with the Transformers and G.I. Joes shown (although a little more so with Transformers) but there are some great figures coming out. Shockwave, Leader Ironhide, and Sentinel Prime look great as do the Wreckers but I may pass on a lot of the other movie figures. I just don't like a lot of them this time around.

One thing I don't get is the lack of Generations figures on display. I know Hasbro is really pushing Dark Of The Moon, as they should, but having a few up there would have been nice.

That is really the closest we will ever see, unless you do count HA as a spiritual successor to M.A.S.K. Cops is pretty much dead though. Well unless the G.I. Joe team fells like doing a M.A.S.K. like homage that is.

 

Basically, all we have left is what we've already seen in official pics and instructions, plus Warpath, or at least that's what they seem to convey. But, they may also have some Prime figures going during the movie (the figures shown were a "precursor wave"), so Generations looks like it would be choked out anyways. That being said, I want mah Black Shadow.

Part of me is relieved to see the figures not look so hot. My wallet is going to be really happy as well.

Is it just me or is Hasbro taking a relaxed approach all around this year. I am really not that impressed with some of these new figures and not just the TF's. Too bad that the Ultimate Optimus Prime trailor wasn't sold separate from the figure. I would get that to put with my ROTF Leader Class Prime.
