I am not a completest collector. I can totally live with that. I didnt even get most of armada. I do like cybertron a lot more and that makes it hard to stop buying but witha baby on the way i am trying to only get homages and ones that rock my world. But i understand how you feel. but i also feel since ive allready spent the money on the ones i have i dont want to get rid of them.

My current sale is more for "I don't really use these anymore, they're in boxes, i should get rid of them." While there are some I'll miss, I haven't touched them lately (not even display) and I'm getting older. I won't collect as much now and I could probably make more on selling now than much later.

Plus, I'd hate to move all of them >_<

Buy what you like. If you buy something, and dont like it ...then sell it. Just be careful you dont end up regretting it. I have done that before.

Since I'm getting married in a few months, I have a few pieces I am thinking of selling (X9 Ravage, a few BWNeo/Armada/Energon figures, that sort of thing). Nothing I would massively miss, like my G1 stuff. I'm still undecided.

No not once have I ever thought that.

Now with that being said, that doesn't mean that I absolutely love everything that I've bought in my collection. However, I collect more for the sack of the line and the characters. The figure may not be great, but the characters are cool.

I started RID about half way throught the show being on TV, so I wasn't able to actually get the entire line while it was out. Indeed, it wasn't until this past October that I was able to finally get the last two peices I needed for Rail Racer from BBTS. Now all I need for the Autobots are the Brother recolors and the one spychanger two pack that came with Side Burn. However, I still am missing about half the Predacons/Decepticons. I plan on finishing RID as I love it with the exception of probably never getting RID Galvatron. However, I might since it would technically be a different mold than the Megatron I have since my Megs is actually a Japanese Gigatron I imported.

Armada was chalk full of (IMO) not so great to decent figures with a few exceptional pieces (deluxe prime & unicron), however, I don't regret even some of the (again MO) worst figures (Scavanger and Smokescreen both come to mind from Armada). And from that line I'm only missing a few of the recolors... some I may eventually track down if I feel like it (Powerlinx Demolishor) and others I'm actively seeking on a regular basis (Nemesis Prime & Red Powerlinx Thrust).

With Energon, I look at half the Autobots on a daily basis and go... damn you guys suck. However, I love the Decepticons. I'm mainly done with this line too.

With Cybertron I said I was going to be more selective, but I haven't seemed to be able to yet. I just love everything I've bought in the line. The only figure I think sucks is Backstop... he just reminds me too much of one of the McDonalds figures. The rest have been great... I just wish I could stop importing all the expensive Takara Recolors... :redface2:  But as Dark Magnus has said to me on accassion... I'm an exclusive repaint whore... :confused2

So, no... I love my collection, even the bad ones, and would never get rid of it for any reason at this point.

Well some i do look back and regreat like Armada Sideswipe, Armada Laserbeak, etc. But now i basically pick and choose on some. Haven't picked up the Cyb. Swerve, Cyb. Swindle, Galvatron, or the street minicon team. If it is a kick ass new mold i get it for sure. If it is and excellent repaint i get it, eventually.

I was really into collecting gestalts few years back and completed most of 'em. I traded parts with tons of people, getting to know a lot of 'em in the process. But after I completed all the gestalts that I wanted, I no longer had the urge anymore. Just looking at them on my shelves didn't give me the satisfaction. So I sold most of them and never regretted about it. Giftset Bruticus, Menasor, Raiden, Road Caesar, etc. BUT I still have my giftset Liokaiser. There's NO way I'm selling that one. That thing's just way too cool.

I sold my first collection (G1 collection) a few years ago for a lot of money and now I regret it. I started collecting again in september but now I'm only focusing on the newer stuff and stuff that I want. I've only got 50 or so right now, most of which are cybertron but I'm not a completist. I won't buy repaints unless they looke REALLY good and I won't by remolds from a previous series.

I don't think I'll go back to buying G1 figures again unless it's something I want. I really like the cybertron and alternators line so far. I think the cybertron line is much better than Armada and Energon.

I might sell this collection a few years down the road if I need the money for retirement or putting my kids through school. But no, I made the mistake the first time selling my original collection.

I've got maybe 300+ figures, and have thought about selling some of them off to make space. I really have nowhere to store them except boxes in the closet, and you can't enjoy them that way.

Trouble is, there aren't many that I can bring myself to sell. I've always been selective in my collecting, so I like just about every figure I have.

Time to buy a big cabinet for the garage I think, and unpack them all into that.
