Ok seriously, what the hell do people want from these movies! Ok they want it to be more G1, we'll these movies are in it's own universe, look at TF rime oh yea all of a sudden everyone likes that. Bayformers makes sense, all these movies tried to do is make the characters realistic because they are in a REAL live action world, so they can't look all blocky and colorful as the cartoons. They gotta follow the laws of physics. How the hell is G1 any better? It's the same basic story, they want energon, they're at war, bla bla bla. watching the show(G1) not that long ago I realize hey they actually do have somewhat of a G1 influence, look at Megatron in the first movie, they got him hidden in the hoover damn, in G1 the decepticons attack thehoover damn for some energon, in ROTF they want to find the sun harvesters, in G1 they also find the sun harvesters except they are in the mayan pyramids instead of egypt, the matrix, megatron and starscream relationship it's there. so what now! The truth is no one gives a shit about Transformers because they are based on a damn TOY, the media's purpose is to help sell those toys. Transformers is STUPID! think about it, but the movies made it logical, they tried ok, they tried. SHUT UP! stop nitpicking.

 

Well I am nitpicking that Megatron is a leader not a follower enough said the movies make him weak.

 

I still defend this movie. Every time someone bad mouths it I just reply that there was a writers strike. It's only fair. For those who haven't seent he extras on the DVD: Bay said that they only finished editing 2hrs before the premire in Tokyo Doesn't that just show you how rushed things were?

With the actual time that they had I'll applaued them for their work. It's hard to come up with a solid plot and script in 6 weeks. After I heard that the writers were locke din a hotel room for 6 weeks I had a small feeling that ROTF would be weaker. But despite it I came out of the cinema happy because the action was epic.

That doesn't show anything IMO. Cliffjumper died in Prime does that show that the team knows nothing about TF and that they don't care about characters? By this sentence it sounds as if not Autobots should die. The first movie was made more powerful by a death of an Autobot. All the TF1 Autobots were well-loved favourites so no matter who died it would have the same affect (with the exeption of Optimus which would be stronger).

 

Dude either way its gonna be a fun movie, regardless if its going to be good or not.

ROTF was still fun even though it wasn't the best, plus bays going full force on this one and i'll give it a go. Hell i'm excited about it man i can't wait. Best bit is i get to see it for $2  

 

I liked the first one alot, and ROTF was one of the coolest films I've ever watched.
Forget the story & it's flaws. All the robots & the action delivered was amazing.

People love to hate on it, but would love to see them find a better realistic giant robot movie out there. You can't. Haters are born to bitch.

 

The haters can hate. Either way they'll watch it. They won't tell us if they do. Some haters are going to watch it just so they can update the topics to whine about.

Look. Even with all you people not liking it this movie will undoubtibly make a large amount of money. Seriously it's extremely tiring talking to you guys becasue it's honestly like talking to babies. If you don't like it then don't watch it simple. But NOOOOO you guys will still go on about it.

ROTF came out 2 years ago and you guys still won't shut up about it.

And also, not every TF franschise is going to appeal to you. I don't see you guys screaming at the team behind your least favourite TF series. Just don't see DOTM if you're seriously against this film. Let the people who actually want to enjoy a film (go figure) enjoy it. A film is meant to entertain not be disscected for your pleasure.

 

This movie is following the same schtick as the first 2 already just on the press stuff alone.

I can t wait for them to be done with this franchise its had some nice additions but they look more like lucky guesses instead of intentional choices.

for the most part there are alot of throw away characters and scenes.

The only consistant thing has been that the CGI has been amazing by ILM.

I think everyone fools them selves into these movies being good when really they are just beautiful to look at for the work ILM has done.

I agree, but that's not what matters to us. we've been supporting this franchise for 30 years and I know hasbro won't say no to money and wont stop if they don't have to. all spark? new crappy plot device to replace character driven affairs. the fallen? sad attempt to involve earth in TF history just for a doomsday device ending. third movie? shockwave nastier than megatron? (I remember him having a calm elder voice) bigger gun? he had one pee shooter on his left compared to megatrons murder scope. yea Bay, you doin' us proud.

 

Certain people like certain things. Certain people dislike certain things. As far as I'm concerned, I respect both sides and that's fair enough.

But then there are a select few inbreeds who think that just because they hate something, then anyone else who likes it is wrong, or has no taste. These are the scum of the world.

It may not be the best movie, but I liked ROTF and enjoyed the 2 1/2 hours of it. By the same token, I understand there are others who may not enjoy its elements, and as such I respect their stand and won't think any less of them.

Sadly there are some who need to go to extremes and bash people who have opposing tastes simply to be with the "in" crowd, or to appear sophisticated.

 

I find fan logic to be shall we say a little weird.

It's okay to prejudge the film as great but it's not okay to prejudge the film as bad.

You can't say you think the third film will be bad because somehow your track record with the other two films doesn't count, but it's okay to say everything will be right with the third film based only on the people who got paid a lot of money to make the film saying that everything is right.

It's somehow okay to bash and hate on the "haters" but it's not okay to bash or hate on anything in the films.

It's okay for cartoons and toy lines to get a reboot but it's not okay for the films to reboot.

If you aren't happy with some aspect of the film it has to be because it's not G1 enough. No one ever seems to say you don't like it because it's not Beast Wars enough or it not like one of the sci fi epics enough.

We must all like everything Transformers that ever comes out. It's somehow a horrible thing if something doesn't appeal to you, thus making you a "hater".

Every fans must like and dislike the same things you do. There is no room for different fans having different tastes.

Both sides in the great debate seem to suffer a little to much from the as long as I'm happy I don't care about other fans.

 

May I remind you Transformers have always been driven by a war over energon and other Primus creations like the Matrix and the AllSpark. And Shockwave IS nastier than Megatron, he decapitated Optimus and left him to dry to get the Matrix in his head.
