If this figure really is a retooled ROTF leader Optimus with new armor parts, and looks great, I won't feel so bad on missing out on Buster Prime.

Yes the perfect mold with a new feature who wouldn't love that!

But It will probabaly be a new mold which is fine as long as it is good.

What universe do you live in? Since when have figures larger than Leaders ever been marvelous at complexity and screen accuracy? The most popular ones are the ones that curl up into a fetal position and pretend to be planets.

I'm honestly not sure where this collective delusion came from. I've NEVER wanted a figure larger than Leader class before.

Reading. That pic posted was a pic of the Voyager Prime with new Jetfire Armour parts that was to be released last year. It got canned and we're wondering whether this set could in fact be the very same. But from the price and the 'leader' size class, its very doubtful.

yeah remember the Horror that is Supreme Cheetor, besides Unicron and Primus, Energon Omega Supreme was the only Good non-planet Supreme/ultimate. (not sure how good Cyb. Metroplex is as i dont have him)

I don't recommend Cybertron Supreme Starscream then - the Legends-class toy has pretty much the same transformation, but with a better range of shoulder movement.

This is exactly what I am hoping and praying for, but damn man, get yourself a Buster!!! Single best TF in existence. I made two small mods and he is now perfect (changed green LED to blue and ordered savio-prime's hip wheel placements for more movie accuracy (they really kick ass)).

If this Takara Prime is anything like Buster than I will absolutely be out $150, however I refuse to get too excited until I see some pics after the Ultimate Prime debacle.

It's that thing that rescues Sam from a falling Building he's wearing. you can tell this as the things chin guns match the guns Optimus has on his forearms.

So If I had to guess it's the same accessory you can see him carting about on the Cyberverse Plus Optimus toy - a backpack with guns, wings and a couple of jet engines.

If that is part of his trailer interior (a sort of flying Roller) or an Autobot with a Cybertronian mode - or just something like a bunch of parts borrowed from a crashed Decepticon attack craft etc..

Who knows. but I'm guessing it's not the same thing as Jetfire's Corpse is.

It might be the main truck section of Ultimate Optimus but combined with the wing backpack rather than the whole trailer (Wing Optimus rather than Optimus Butterfly mode if you like)

Ultra is the size between Voyager & Leader size ; Universe Powerglide for example is an "Ultra".
The sizes bigger than Leader would be Ultimate (as in Ultimate Bumblebee) and Supreme (as in Devastator). I suppose they could come up with a size smaller than Ultimate Bumblebee and bigger than a leader which would be Super (the best example of something that fits in that size gap being RID Optimus Primal) but he was described as a Supreme but he's not a Supreme in the same way Beast Machines Cheetor was.

But Super is a term they could use for such a theoretical size (though Super might also be the term thought of for leaders before they called them Leaders) it would also make a good terms for what I suggest.

    Voyager : $20.00 (or sometimes $22.99 to $24.99 to $29.99)
    Ultra : $30.00 (or sometimes $32.99 to $34.99)
    Leader : $40.00 (Or sometimes $44.99 or $49.99)
Ultimate : $70.00 (Though that varies a lot from $59.99 upwards to $79.99)
    Supreme : $79.99 to $99.99

So if we say a Ultimate is $65.00 and a Supreme is $99.99 then there's a possible gap there either between Leader & Ultimate or between Ultimate & Supreme.

Possibly a gap fillable by a playset piece. It looks like the size category equivellant of 2007/2009 Ultimate Bumblebee is semi-close to Cybertron Supreme Starscream or Armada Unicron.. but that something like Cybertron Primus or Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader/ Death Star seems to be a lot smaller but still arguably bigger than a Leader. size catagories are confusing and that's without even getting into the whole Mega/Maxcon/Ultra weirdness.

Frankly speaking, after that terrible encounter with MP-09, I'm terrified of anything Takara.

Well most TF toy's technical bits are designed by Takara guys. Even TF Movie figures.

OK, maybe I'm dreaming but anyway:

    - The release code UA-01 is the same as the one from the canceled ROTF UFTU Jet Power Prime.
    - There's a picture from Prime combined with Jetfire ROTF style accompanying that information.
    - There's an alt mode (that will probably won't be shown in the movie) for both Jet Prime (from the 2nd teaser) and Powered Up Prime (from ROTF) in their respective toy forms (DOTM Cyberverse Plus & ROTF UFTU) plus, they look VERY similar in that mode...

So, is there just a little possibility that wether or not the jetpack Prime is wearing in DOTM 2nd teaser is made from Jetfire reconfigured parts, this new toy, Jetwing Prime, could be a Leader Prime with parts able to be configured in two ways: ROTF Powered Up mode or DOTM jetpack + guns mode?

Living in Singapore, I must say we have the best of both worlds here as both Takara and Hasbro releases are easily available to us. What I've noticed is that despite the lack on detail on their paint apps, Hasbro's releases always seem more sturdy in terms of plastic quality, like you could throw them against the wall and still have them standing in one piece. However I can't say the same for the same mold released by Takara, and trust me I do have almost equal amounts of Takaras to Hasbros in my collection.

Anyways, back on topic. I hope that this is the badass Prime we saw in the Superbowl spot, with BFGs and all. Don't cheap out Takara, please.

I suppose if Amazon.co.jp are going to sell it they will have some pics fairly soon (probably when they put up pre-orders for the rest of the Movie 3 toys in Japan).

I hope it is Buster Prime with a wing pack that would be something worth owning with Pride (Unlike the DOTM ones).
