oh, I totally agree! I meant that animated seemed to make its creative decisions based on choices stemming from the passion its creators had for transformers as a whole, rather than box checking what 'the kids' are 'familiar' with. I don't dislike Prime as a whole, or for borrowing elements of the movies (which i enjoy) I just feel that the idea of a voicelesss bumblebee is much harder to work with over a series tha a 2 hour movie. Also it reinforces that this is how bee SHOULD be and that he'll be like this for many years to come.

Well, Raf understanding Bee most probably will have some explanation along the lines of Bee speaking in binaries or something.

As for him hacking into government databases, it's a kid's show, the kid's just a genius. Also, he was already inside a place where he could connect to the government network, so maybe there wasn't even any hacking needed, he just logged in and knew where to find what he wanted.

Now, about Soundwave, if they wanna give me a fangasm, Soundwave will project his trademark face on his new faceless face when he finally speaks on his on.

Didn't like the answer on Bumblebee because I really hate movie Bumblebee. But compared to all the non-answers we get on the toys it was really cool the way they actually explained things and gave us a bit of explanation.

Pretty nice that they seem to have solid reasons for going in the directions they chose instead of just because.

That's all I really want. Just so long as they address it.

Not likely, since this really has nothing to do with WFC and this Starscream seems more of a sneaky ambush predator rather than a true warrior. I don't think he'd take on anyone in a fair fight.

Animated was awesome because it hit all the right notes: Modern animation, approachable characters, kid-friendly stories, and retro-nods for the geeks. Best thing since Gen1.

Um... ok. Why does he NEED to talk? After all, Gen1 Bumblebee blabbered on for hours with not a damn thing important to add to the conversation.... usually "Spike got kidnapped!" or "Woe is me, I got captured by incompetent decepticons!" over-and-over.

Animated's brilliance was the fact that much of the G1 nods were subtle: Spike and Carly going to the hospital. Daniel on the Sumdac field trip, etc. Animated being based on Gen1 concepts rather than the movie concepts was noteworthy. They could have easily based the character designs on the movie bots and just created an extended universe based on the movie(s), but they didn't. It shows how strong of a concept Transformers really is. Alternate forms of the mythology can exist together without affecting the enjoyment. Think about Spider-Man. Everything has be by the numbers or else most fans shut down. No matter how far they try to get away from the comics, Spider-Man cartoons, movies, etc, are ALWAYS predictable. Transformers well.... "transforms" constantly.

Bumblebee's squeaking is the least of my concerns regarding Prime. It's cute and whimsical.

Funny, I actually prefer the craptastic Bayformers over Beastwars. I couldn't stand that show.

Laserbeak was pretty nifty. Soundwave looks like a Starwars droid to me.

They never explain how the people understood Lassie's bark, but for some reason, they knew whether the kid was stuck in a tree or dangling off a cliff from a single bark...

I actually thought radio-voice BB from the first movie was awesome. Much preferred over squeaks from the 2nd movie and Prime. One of the few things Bay did right, IMHO.

That's a really shitty example, and you know it is.
