He's "holding" his gun in that robot mode pic. Looks like it clips into the side of his arm, or maybe clips into the bottom of his arm.

Repugnus = love. I love me some dino action, and a dino autobot is just too smooth.

And I don't even need to comment on Soundwave. Other than to say too cool.

Loving the 'con symbol on Soundwave. I'd rather it be there, even though he never joined Master Megatron. Starscream kept his 'con symbol even after betraying Master Megatron, there's no reason Soundwave can't wear one. Hell, he acted as a double agent on Gigalonia by bringing the 'cons there.

Thumbs up on Shortround as well, and I'm happy he's a 'con. To me, he's another one of the 'cons released by Starscream in the artic, unless his bio states otherwise.

Well, Repugnus looks cooler now. Screw Undermine, Repugnus I'll get!   And Soundwave looks HAWT. Shortround...meh.

 

Bah. Why let a crappy 4th rate cartoon dictate what faction Soundwave is. Soundwave = Decepticon. Always has.

I was hoping I'd be able to happily ignore most of the inevitable repaints, but Exillion and Repugnus really look sharp.

 

Yeah... they go as far with the homage as giving him Lazerbeak and a cassette door...and then they go and miss the headsculpt.

I'll buy it anyway. Looks good otherwise.

 

Soundwave is the only one I am interested in here....the other two look like crap to me...I think the Undermine mold is probably the worst in GF/Cyb. The missing paint apps on cybertron soundwave is fine with me...the lighter color blue looks better to me. I personally thought the GF version with all it's intricate paint apps was a little gawdy....jmo though. ANy ideas when he will hit shelves? I see the space camp sticker on him and I just saw a swerve, repaint of clocker today that had one on it as well....so will we start seeing soundwave soon?

Wow, Repugnus actually looks great! Soundwave and Shortround were must-buys, but I might have to add Repugnus to that list as well...the basic repaints have been surprisingly awesome in this line...

 

Because the price point of GF Soundwave was between a Voyager and an Ultra. For Hasbro to sell it at a Voyager price point they had to remove several paint apps. I noticed less gold paint on the wings, no gold chrome on the rear fins, no silver on the head, no silver on Laserbeak's back. There might be more but from where it stands I'm very glad I got the GF version. The transparent purple also looks like a darker shade.

 

Yeah... I just wish my GF Soundwave didn't have that waist problem...

But damn, the missing silver on his head makes him look rather... Dull...

 

Except this isn't G1 Soundwave.

*throws up hands* But whatever. It's okay if you want Soundwave to stay a Decepticon. Me, I'm keeping him as part of a scheming third faction.

 

Shortround is awesome, and Repugnus looks so fierce for an Autobot!  Definitely picking those two up along with Soundwave.

 

Meh on Shortround and Repugnus. The Undermine/Repugnus mold is just crap to me, so it's unlikely any amount of homaging could sway me to buy him...least of all a crappy G1 Monsterbot. Might as well be Flamefeather.

Shortround...I like the alt mode, I really do. But what's UP with that bot mode? Maybe when he gets a Seaspray repaint or something, otherwise, nah.

Soundwave =   I already have the GF one, but this one looks different enough to pick up, primarily because of the faction symbol. I don't watch GF or Cybertron, therefore I dinna care if he doesn't have one in the 'toon. G1 Soundwave had a faction symbol in the same spot, it's only fitting that the first toy in 20 years designed to be an update of the original toy have one as well.

 

Good color scheme or not, Repugnus is still a terrible mold. I might pick him up if I see him on clearance for $2.

Shortround isn't half bad though but those arms.. what were they thinking?
