who do u think are the best characters since g1 to now
(lets keep prime & megs out)
(and character not form so no list thats sideswipe g1,sideswipe movie.starscream g1,starscream energon etc

 

G1 Starscream and Armada Starscream are very different characters, so why shouldn't they be allowed in the same list?

Same with G1 Megatron and Beast Wars Megatron.

Honorable mentions for favourite bots include BW Dinobot, G1 Grimlock, TFA Lugnut, Vector Prime, ROTF Jolt, Cybertron Hotshot, G1 Cyclonus, Any Jetfire, RID Scourge, TFA Optimus Prime, TFTM Brawl, G1 Preceptor, BM Jetstorm, TFA Slipstream, TFTM Ironhide, TFA Swindle, BM Cheetor, BW Rattrap, Cybertron Ransack and Crumplezone, All the Stunticons and Every Ultra Magnus.

Dishonorable mentions for least favs would go to Skids and Mudflap because they shelfwarm and are a waste of space, Armada Thrust, All Armada Kids, the majority of human in Bayformers universe espically Leo,G1 Beachcomber, Superlink's Mirage,BW Quickstrike, Almost every Bumblebee and Transmutate- I mean WTF was the point of her again?

 

Please explain why it's necessary to put limitations on other fans' preferences? While Prime's a personal favorite character, I don't feel he's one of the top 5 best overall. But I would not be able to make this kind of list without including Megatron.

Top 5 Best:

1. Marvel G1 Shockwave: Contrary to being Megatron's lackey in the TV series, Marvel Shockwave was awesome: defeated the Autobots, defeated Megatron (twice), and unlike TV Megatron his catchphrase wasn't "Retreat!"

2. Marvel G1 Ratchet: As I've said many times, Ratchet was the Autobots' unsung hero in the Marvel comics series.

3. Marvel G1 Blaster: A lame alt-mode, but he rose up as one of the comic series' stand-out characters.

4. BW Megatron: I loved everything about this characterization of Megatron, even the rubber duckie moments. He was my favorite character of the entire BW series.

5. TFA Megatron: Corey Burton's performance and getting to see Megatron wreak the kind of havoc that we only wish he would have done in G1 made this my other favorite characterization of Megatron.

Top 5 Worst:

1. BW Terrorsaur: that grating voice, the fingers-on-a-chalkboard screech, the Starscream wannabe -- just hated everything about the character.

2. BM Nightscream: Annoying to the nth degree. Please, Hasbro -- no more TF emo characters!

3. G1 Wheelie: Mostly for the voice and irritating sing-songy dialog, but I never thought he offered anything of value to the series.

4. G1 Insane Galvatron (although he was at times amusing).

5. Pretty much all the human characters in the Unicron Trilogy. And yes, I realize they are human characters, but because they are in the Transformers universe it also makes them Transformers characters.
