Looks like I'll be able to save money by NOT buying these. The only one that looks good is the Wrecker....
And we finally get good pics. The Dread and Wrecker look really good, even though Impala-bot has to shellform a bit. The deluxe Starscream looks much better here now that it's actually transformed correctly. Definately looks like a scaled down version of the Leader. Gonna have to take a better look at the Buggy. I was too focused on the deluxes.... You sir, are a dolt.
Underneath the fibreglass shell I believe the car is basically a framework of tubes for reinforcement. They try to incorporate actual car parts in the botmode design, so I presume the Nascars will end up with a lot of tube-based appendages. I'm inclined to agree, though it may yet grow on me, and these may not be the most flattering pictures. I'm actually getting really bored with car-front chest designs. It's getting old.
I'm guessing the green NASCAR is Roadbuster given that he's a wrecker and his name appeared in that list of wave 1/2 toys.
you think that Bay made the toy designs? oh boy.. you know transformers can retract there weapons and those Wreckers probably do too. battle mode to normal mode.
That Nascar looks like a movieverse Wheeljack to me. And the Dread bot looks like a cross between Shadow Command Megatron and Recon Ironhide.
that nascar doesn't look half bad, except it's in serious need of some paint apps, that gray plastic, and lack of treads/detail on the tires makes it look very fisher price to me..
STARSCREAM LOOKS AMAZING!!! Now that he's transformed properly...or at least better than the previous pics from eBay. A review would be nice...
Wow. So much money to be saved this summer. Megatron? Pass. Optimus? Yuck. Starscream? Yawn. Wrecker? WHERE'S THE PAINT!? Dread? Yawn again. And don't even get me started on "mech-tech." if they had to sacrifice paint or a decent transformation scheme just to get these ugly-ass things worked into the product then someone definitely made the wrong call. I know that it has probably already started with the "Mech-Tech is the coolest!" and "I <3 Mechtech" but really? I had toys with shit like this back in the 80's... Weird that... But you know, as a kid I guess I loved those crazy things so I'm guessing a more basic figure with a big honkin weapon is just what their primary demographic would want. Win Hasbro/Loss collectors. Pass all around. Finishing generations, will take a look at Prime, and still have a soft spot in my heart for Jolt, but that's it for me. Gonna hit up eBay for a Masterpiece Prime now that i know i wont be wasting time or money on these. -A.S.
Wow, all of them together, they look really REALLY bad. Like someone threw some (grey) plastic in a blender and dumped it back on the table.
I think most of these are pretty good. I really like the HA buggy and the Wrecker. Starscream looks like a shrunken version of the ROTF Voyager, whose mold I like, but that kinda means I don't need this one. I don't know how I feel about the Dread....
NASCAR & Dune Buggy Guy are a definite buy! not so sure about the Dread, and Starscream looks lame compared to ROTF SS.
once i saw starscream in bot mode mistransfromed for first tim i knew i wasnt going to like i dont need to pass judgment on toy if its trasnformed correctly, ha figures look good, nascar looks ok wait for video review on them to pas judgment same with dreads
the Wrecker looks good and I'm really liking the Dread more and more. They will look wonderful on the big screen...but I'm wondering if there's some copyright infringement going on with the "Predator" head....from the pics we've seen on him, it looks like a crossover figure.
Can someone tell me why they are all holding somebody else weapons? And why the buggy got a red and black head? Robots with hair? Wrecker looks like a bigger windcharger? This might actually help me kick my plastic crack addiction!
Well.....safe to say that the DotM toy freak-out/bashing has reached it's high-point......now it's all downhill.......then back up.....then down......
