Lucky for me, my wife gave up on me on this. So everytime I bring or get a new item, she doesn't care. She says that if this collection makes me happy, then she is happy.

Some of you guys have it rough! My wife knows a lot about my collecting habbits and the story lines that I tell her. It's all very magical. LOL I never had to sneak in a toy since she thinks it's cool, (and she loves Bumblebee and Arcee) but I did tell her when I got my dinobots not too long ago that I would wait to get swoop since he's so expensive for a good one. Then I got drunk and bought it the next night and started slipping in the comments..."can't wait for those dinobots to get here".."3 are in one big box and swoop is in it's own so it should fit in the mailbox".

I did sneak in the display case and wait to see what she said. That was fun. "WOW...uhmm...that's freakin huge babe" "$40?! that is a good deal!" LOL I love my wife. ....now if I can just figure out how to transform her I may be able to fit her in the display case in the back somewhere...

I got owned the other day when my Wife printed out from Citibank how much I spent on Transformers last year (searched by Paypal and toysrus transactions). Talk about thinking you got away with stuff and then to be caught like that.

Wow, brave AND stupid. The first time she hears "PSHHHHWUUUUUU" in the middle of the night, followed by a really bright light, she might be tipped off.

Luckily, my wife bought me one of my Lightsabers, the others she thinks are just about the awesomest things ever, so doesn't complain about them.

I've never had to sneak stuff in, but I have had to fudge a bit on how much I spent on several pieces :)

Fortunately she's now into Dolfies...so even Lucky Draw prices are fair game...and I have my eyes on an Ultracade for the living room :p

My Boyfriend doesn't want me buying transformers but he has no say in it. He flips out and says he is going to open my sealed ones and the ones I have opened he wants to play with them but he breaks everything so I have to watch him when he is at my house. =( and he makes fun of me for spending my money on toys.

I'm not married, much too young imho. Though my girlfriend and I have our little hobbies. She's into wolf figurines, manga, anime, and video games. I have my Transformers, Plamos from time to time, manga, anime and video games. She's cool with it, and hasn't given me any lip service about it. Though she doesn't know quite the extent of my collection, she might be a little surprised when she comes over my house in the summer. I was thinking of getting her a Cybertron Snarl to see what she thinks, after all it would be like combining our two hobbies in one figure. If it doesn't go well, I just wouldn't get her any other ones -_-;;. Though speaking of buying things for her, she doesn't know that i'm going to get her this badass Princess Mononoke on Wolf God statue. It normally goes for 100 dollars, and if found it for 27 dollars. It's for her bday, so she'll probably be flipping out when she get's it in the mail XD. That and i'm getting her the State Alchemist pocket watch. She's a big FMA fan too ^_^

wow... wife took over post, that's a first? My wife is cool with me collecting, she even bought me 2 IKEA glass display units for them so I can put them next to my computer (it's getting full), but sometimes I like to sneak in some stuff just for the heck of it (feeling guilty myself), but I display them, and she can clearly tell that the figure is new, but she never says anything about it. I think that's why I married her.... :D

I have started to tell my GF about my TF obsession. I even took her to a weekly swapmeet where I buy some of the import TFs at. She was alarmed when I told her how much anime Galy goes for but I made it clear I was gonna buy it no matter what. She tolerates my collection as long I have them in the closet and not displayed. I guess she thinks toys is for kids but I am not gonna stop even if she disapproves.

in the closet? are you serious? that sucks my friend. my wife doesn't like the amount of money i spend but i am a bit tame compared to some others. she doesn't mind me collecting though as long as priorities come first. like bills, her, her bills..... oh wait. i meant OUR bills lol. i thought about sneaking in universe nemesis prime back when money was much tighter, i felt too guilty though and she was relieved at his reasonable price and that i was honest with her. best of luck to you sneaky folks though.

I don't have to smuggle. My wife doesn't mind what I buy as long as I don't go overboard. Actually, sometimes she brings stuff home and is like "This is new isn't it?"

My wife is da shit! :rock

Pssh. Just ignite one and chase her off. :p  But then, my girlfriend bought me the Vader FX saber for Christmas. :D

I don't feel the need to sneak stuff in too often. She's okay with the collecting and as long as I can keep the spare bedroom/toy room from physically overflowing into the living room, it shouldn't be a problem.

OTOH, I do most of my toy runs after work (after midnight) and come home with bags o' stuff while she's asleep. So I can get them in and have them assimilated into the toy room before I go to bed, and she's none the wiser. This does not always work however, such as the time I bought an entire case of ML 10 and the box was kind of obvious.

Occasionally, multiple Ebay/BBTS/etc. packages will all come within a couple of days of each other and pile up in the apartment office and I'll wait until she's gone/at work to go get them...and again, assimilate them into The Toy Room and get rid of the trash. This does not always go as planned, such as the time the UPS guy brought my case of Entertainment Earth clones to the door...while my girlfriend was in the kitchen (which is right by the door). :redface2:  I forget exactly how I weaseled out of telling her that the box that just came was $300+.

My parents bitch about me buying TFs nad other things. Being in college works wonders for sneaking new stuff in. Just shove it in a backpack and walk right past them.. If it is too big, just wait for them to be gone.. I've snuck Computer HDs in, and countless TFs...

Once a long time ago i even rented a mailbox at the post officed for mailed TFs and ebay wins... they never caught on..

My gf (soon to be wife) doesn't care about my collecting either. She actually pays attention when I talk about toys and can remember their names and the ones I want. She'll even buy one for me from time to time when I might be short on cash. Her rationale is that I could be spending my money on drinking or worse things.

:lol  I laugh at you guys who are sneaking around. I am genuine. I keep it real. I am me, and I do what I like. IF a girl doesn't like it, there's the door.

I'm a firm believer in the term "unconditional" love. Unless what you are doing is harmful to yourself or others, she should not mind.

Why do women feel the need to try to change thier man? And why do men fear thier wife finding out they haven't changed a bit?
