My mate Crummey who's coming down with me is also into metal, I don't listen to it much, I'm more of an Electric Six kind of guy (highly underrated band)

I'm booked into the Travelodge now for just the night of the 27th. I almost booked the 26th too, but that would have been another £40 for the room and £godknowswhat for an extra 24 hours in the car park, so I've decided to drive down on the day, park up, and then come and meet up with the rest of the gang. From this point, I foresee a couple of issues which I'd appreciate some help with:

    1. Once I arrive and have parked my car, I will need to then actually get to Kapow. I assume by taxi, but since there are others staying at the same hotel, I propose we all go over together (I should be at the hotel by 10-11am) and split the cost. Simon and David, I already have your numbers, Rich - I'm guessing you'll be in the same boat as me?

    2. Once we're all at Kapow having a merry time, I will at some point need to go back to the hotel/car park and check in to my room. Any time after 3pm is fine, but then I'll need to get back across town to Kapow. Again, if anyone else is going to have this problem lmk.

I accept that paying an extra £50 or whatever would solve these problems and also allow me to travel down the night of the 26th and not have to get up in the middle of the night. But I'm paying enough already in petrol and hotels and car park and activities, so I choose to be thrifty.

All booked and sorted! Train ticket, check. Hotel room, check. Making Travelodge see the ridiculousness making me move rooms half way through the trip, check.

That is quite an achievement   You must have spoken to someone the day beofre they go off on holiday or somthing.

My expectations a very high right now. I imagine you all to be great musclebound brutes with pneumatic dolly-birds hanging off your arms and wearing 'Fort Max is my bitch' t-shirts. I also imagine that, although very friendly and with an encyclopaedic knowledge of all that is Transformers, you also all have a romantic, brooding, melancholic side...

I often drift off around this time on a working Monday afternoon...

Yep. I am, in fact, built like Marcus Fenix in Gears of War and am prone to spout esoteric pieces of Transformers law. Okay, maybe only the last part of that is true. In truth, if I have muscles, I have no clue where they're hiding.

I had a dream not all that long ago in which Leonard Nimoy, the good Andy Rose, and myself were COG soldiers. The armour on myself and Spock/Galvatron looked completely ridiculous; Andy can just about pull it off. (Andy, I swear dude, your arms as thick as my head!)

I may have to have a t-shirt of that made.

In fact, I am a human chicken wing; this is the best way to describe my physical appearance.

    Indeed, I am.

I believe I may have to acquire a t-shirt featuring that slogan.

If anyone who's going happens to find an RtS Windcharger for me at their local Tesco, I'd be extraordinarily grateful.

I apparently have a family room. I didn't ask for it, but there you are.

So it's settled, once our inhibitions have been sufficiently lowered at the pub/bowling alley, we proceed to Dave's ample parlour. :D

Really? RTS's have been sighted in Tesco? Might have to make a few detours.

There's been a few sightings of his wave in Tesco. Alas, the only one near me is an Express that still has ROTF Legends. :(

The scent of men and talk of toys. What more could I possibly need or want?

Indeed! The best I saw today was five-pack PCCs for £12.99 in Toymaster.
